Let me begin rstly by formally thanking the 16,000 constuents of Couva North who exer-
cised their vong rights in my favour on May 24th 2010. I was given a mandate by the peo-
ple of Trinidad & Tobago to serve them and from 2010 ll now I have been serving and
delivering to the best of my ability.
The Couva North Constuency Execuve and Couva North Oce Sta have played a major
role in planning and implemenng for the constuents of Couva North as we move the
constuency forward as a whole. Over the past two years we have become the CouvaNorth Family and a force to be reckoned with when it comes to represenng the constu-
ents of Couva North.
Government has idened Central Trinidad, and specically Carapichaima as one of the
pillars of development for economic acvity. To date we have been able to aract the
Ministry of Science, Technology & Terary Educaon with its YTEPP Business Educaon
Centre in Waterloo and its Woodford Lodge Workforce Development Technology Centre.
Our youths are most important and for their benet, we have been able to successfully
host our Couva North Youth Fair and our Couva North Movie Night. Addionally we have
been partnering with Corporate Couva and Chaguanas, religious bodies, NGOs and other
relevant stakeholders to truly develop the constuency of Couva North.
VISION
As evidenced by this report, developing
Couva North has been and will connue
to be an ongoing, arduous, posive jour-
ney. My vision for this area is rstly to
develop to the highest of standards the
basic infrastructure as this greatly im-
pacts on daily lives of the people. This
includes improving and developing roads
and drainage, access to water and elec-
tricity, construcon of community cen-
tres to implement community building
programmes and rehabilitang recrea-
onal grounds to incorporate sporng
and other acvies.
The end goal is to pursue development
via governments collecve decisions
which seek to benet our human re-
source, the greatest asset of this country.
