Our Goal: To support collaborative learning focused on increasing student achievement in Tennessee.

How Will We Achieve that Goal?

• A focus on student learning, driven by evidence and an understanding of expectations

• Peer-led discussion and collaboration

• Direct applications to our classrooms and schools

Closing reflection

• In the opening session we each thought of a student who inspires us to be a better teacher.

• Think about that student, or a student like him or her.

• What will they need to be ready for their future?

• What is one thing you can do this year to help them get ready?

• We hope you’ve learned a lot in the past two days, but we know there is still much more to learn

• Our teaching practice must be continuously refined • We should ground improvement in the information

we are getting from our students’ learning
