Who are we?Climate Control (South East) have been supplying,
installing and maintaining air-conditioning and
refrigeration equipment for over ten years and we
are proud of our outstanding reputation for quality
and service. We design and manage climate and
energy conservation systems, starting with free,
expert advice on which of the many solutions
available would suit you best. We are equally
comfortable dealing with old and new buildings,
and projects ranging from small domestic
systems to the largest commercial installation.
We have particular expertise in the food and
leisure industry.
Meet the Directors!Sanjai Talsania and Barry Fisk each have an impressive background in air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration, and independently both were very successful. However, they realised how much more they could achieve if they combined their expertise, and so Climate Control was formed when Alfa Cooling and Coltec Refrigeration amalgamated.
Sanjai TalsaniaSanjai attended college in 1983 and studied City and Guilds in refrigeration and air-conditioning, passing with distinction. He served his apprenticeship with Prestcold Refrigeration, which at the time was the leading refrigeration company in the UK, progressing to service engineer and then installation engineer. Sanjai then gained further experience working his way up through various national refrigeration companies maintaining supermarket refrigeration as charge hand, supervisor and then service manager.
Then came a change of direction - he moved into sales for York International, selling industrial refrigeration. He started his own company, Alfa Cooling, in 1999.
Barry FiskBarry attended college in 1985 and qualified with City and Guilds in refrigeration, air conditioning and communication skills with distinction. He served his apprenticeship with Stanley Refrigeration, at the time the third biggest company in the UK. He then moved on to a company that serviced and installed the whole field of refrigeration, from supermarkets, pharmaceuticals and industrial processing.
From here Barry joined a company specialising in manufacturing air conditioning equipment, as a supervisor, eventually moving into sales of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. He left to form Coltec Refrigeration in 1998.

Why are we special?Every job is different, and each of our clients is unique. Our
understanding of this is fundamental to the service we
provide - it’s all about individuality. We believe in interactive
dialogue, and we will really listen and take on board what
you say. Climate Control regularly work with architects, shop
fitters and consultants, to make sure we have covered all
the angles, and we listen carefully to their input too.
We aim to give you the right solution for your
particular situation as simply, efficiently and
cost-effectively as possible. Our core values are quality,
reliability, honesty and value for money.
We are also extremely proud of our service record – our
customers know that they can depend on us 24 hours a day,
every day of the year, with a level of service and
commitment that is second to none. Our engineers
undertake intensive in-house and external training, and their
“first time fix” rates are the envy of our competitors.
The SchoolClimate Control (South East) Ltd made an
excellent job of installing 17 air- conditioning
units over the holiday periods. The units were
cleanly installed to our exact requirements
without the need for any major redecoration. We
have since followed this up with a full service
contract. Their engineers and installation staff
were most helpful and I will be using Climate
Control (South East) again when we build our
new classroom block.

In October 2006, Castlereagh Management
took over the running of a Grade II listed building
consisting of 32 extremely upmarket flats in
South Kensington. Due to the prestige of these
flats, the owners expected a very high level of
service. However, at no time during the eight
years since the buildings were developed had the
communal air-conditioning system worked
properly. We were told that a number of
contractors tried and failed to sort this out – the
problems were complex, and no proper
schematics existed for the system.
“Finally, one of the residents recommended Barry
Fisk at Climate Control (South East) Ltd. We have
been very impressed by his logical approach and
his tenacity. Other contractors just walked away
when the going got tough, but Barry persevered
until the job was done, taking the time and
trouble to get to the heart of the problems and
solving them once and for all. It is now working
99%, and I know Barry will not be satisfied until
it is 100%. Our approach to property
management is very hands-on and pro-active,
and we expect a similar attitude from our
contractors. Barry understands this, and has an
excellent rapport with our clients, even when
working under considerable pressure. I think the
work he has done for us is brilliant!

I established Sisco Seafoods ten years ago,
importing frozen exotic seafood from all over the
world and selling it on, both wholesale and retail.
When we bought a brand new building in Elstree
for our headquarters, we needed a 5,000 square
foot cold storage unit to be designed and built to
quite exacting specifications.
I was introduced to Sanjai Talsania, a Director of
Climate Control (South East) Ltd by another food
company who were delighted with the new cold
store he had designed for them. Sanjai was
therefore one of a number of contractors I asked to
give me an estimate for the job. His quote was not
the cheapest, but it was clear that he knew what he
was doing, and that he would give us better
materials and better service for the money. At every
stage Climate Control went one or two steps further
than other companies would have done.
The cold storage unit is the single most important
part of our operation, and I had to be sure it was in
safe hands. It was a long process, and I was able to
hand the whole project over to Sanjai, which
allowed me the time to concentrate on doing what I
do best, which is running my business. Sanjai was
very hands-on, and was actually there in person a
great deal of the time. He sourced the panelling,
flooring, compressors, evaporators, all the electrical
work and even the racking. Otherwise I would have
had to negotiate with dozens of individual specialist
contractors, which would have been a nightmare!
Climate Control also built a chiller room, which has
to be maintained at four degrees centigrade for
fresh fish, and a prep area, which has to be twelve
degrees centigrade. I have already recommended
Climate Control to colleagues in the business - I am
so happy with their whole attitude. They took a lot
of the burden off my shoulders, and went further
than they had to, making sure the job was the best
it could possibly be.
Raju Meyyappan Managing Director, Sisco Seafoods Ltd
I own a small construction company, Harvek
Ltd, and we have been going now for 23 years,
getting work entirely based on our reputation, and
word of mouth. In 2006 we won the job of
developing a modern office building, Hercules
House, at Stanmore. The building was originally
the headquarters of the AA, and had been empty
for two years before it was acquired by Expotel.
It was pretty well derelict, and so we stripped it
and started again.
“We needed a new air-conditioning system, and
Climate Control was recommended to us by
another contractor, so we checked them out and
then engaged them to work on Hercules House.
Originally Expotel wanted us to re-use all the
original air-conditioning units but it simply cost
less in the end to scrap it and start again. Barry
Fisk at Climate Control put a package together for
us at a very competitive price, which I was able to
present to the client. He then designed and
installed the new air conditioning system, working
alongside the site engineer, and also the fresh air
system throughout the building.
The whole refit was done in just 16 weeks, with
all of us working flat out, and the client was able
to move in on time. I was very pleased with
Barry’s contribution. It was an awkward job in a
number of ways, but he just got on and sorted it
out, very successfully. I’ve used Climate Control
quite a few times since, and have no qualms at all
about recommending them.
