Key Attendees: This class is for those people who are new users of FOUNDATION or just want to master the day-to-day operations of the base 6 modules.

Descripton: Designed for users who are new to the system, or those who want to better understand basic system usage and flow, this course will teach you best practices for entry and reporting in FOUNDATION’S base 6 modules — Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, PO/Subs, Payroll, Job Costing, and General Ledger.

Led by Consultant Melissa Wood, you’ll learn how to perform essential daily tasks and get the most out of FOUNDATION’S core modules. You’ll also be introduced to FOUNDATION’S DataGenie report writers, and learn how you can use these tools to see the data your company needs to see.

By the end of this two-day course, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the base system and a great platform for taking your company’s usage to the next level.

Microsoft Excel Form Design Using Microsoft Query Delivery Method: Group Live | Program Level: Intermediate | CPE Credit: up to 18 possible Capacity: 100 | Presenter: Scott Kern

Key Attendees: People interested in creating forms and/or templates for uploading to other software. If you have an existing form that can be filled in with data from FOUNDATION – we’ll show you how!

Prerequisites: • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel & Query • Laptop with server installation of FOUNDATION and Microsoft Excel 2007 or higher (Someone from our Tech Department will call to schedule database install)

Descripton: Join Scott Kern, Senior Consultant, as he walks you through Microsoft Excel Form Design Using Microsoft Query! Scott will show you how to create custom forms using data sourced from the FOUNDATION Database using the Microsoft Query Tool and Microsoft Excel. This session will cover many options and examples of formatting table-based data in custom forms. This includes: • AIA Billing Forms • Custom Change Order Lists • Subcontract Forms • Daily Work Tickets / Billing Forms

He'll also go over creating custom forms using data from FOUNDATION to create export files for: • 401k Uploads • Banking Information • Timecard Information • Job Cost Information • And more!

Finally, Scott will show you how to create a number of advanced macros and how to use them for exporting data in specific formats (.csv, .txt, etc.) once the data has been pulled from FOUNDATION.Many of these forms will be available for class attendees to convert to their database and tweak to fit their needs.

Takeaways: You’ll be able to source data from FOUNDATION to fill existing forms and documents. Examples include: AIA custom format, change order lists, 401k exports, subcontracts, job based-prequalification and reference lists.

Learn to create dynamic job cost reports using FOUNDATION’S report writing tool. This session will give you an overview and explanation of the available cells in the report writer and how you can use them effectively. Also, learn the “Plan the Work, Work the Plan” strategy for approaching the DataGenie and learn tips on formulating reports before accessing the DataGenie.

We’ll discuss: adjusting, modifying, and reversing invoices; voiding checks; and reversing cash receipts. This session will offer a special focus on the A/P and A/R reports as they relate to auditing and troubleshooting.
