Dead Already - By Dana R.I’m the most strung out person I knowOnce the dark starts to glowIt’s probably time to put down the blowBut I’m too busy enjoying the showWatching myself waste awayWatching the nights turn into daysWondering why I feel so aloneI’m a scoop of ice cream with no coneStrange noises, the shadow people run freeI’m convinced everyone’s out to get meI’ve had it. I’m an addict. Put me in a room and pad itFour comfy padded walls, if I’m sitting on the floor I’ll never fall. I’ll tell him, “No I’m not strung out, I’m strung in”Taking the last sip from that bottle of ginMy arms are bruised, my veins are soreBut my disease wants a little bit moreThe more I give, the more it takesThe more I spend the more I wasteI can’t keep my wrists out of these chainsOr these scars off my veinsI’ll go to a place where the bottle never runs dryAnd never wake up with those tears in your eyesSatan’s sister is my true love – methShe’s telling me to hold my breathYou’re not high if you’re not on the verge of deathShe’s got me where she wants me, that whoreI’m on the floor begging for moreNot afraid of anything- except coming downLook in the mirror- my teeth are turning brownShe’s scary. Who is this dope fiend? Her nails are rotting, her skin’s turning greenSpray paint my reflection – look in the other directionReady, aim, fire – more like fire, aim, readyThe needle is in my arm- I can’t keep it steadyThis must be livin’, I created my own prisonServing 25 – life, feel at home on death rowIll never change the channel, this is my favorite showThe inmates bang their walls, begging to be set freeI sit back and laugh, I’ve never been so happyMy ankle is bruised from this ball and chainNo last requests – just take away the pain No more suffering, no more fear, no more rejectionFiring squad? Electric chair? I’ll take lethal injectionI think it’s finally over; I’ve waited so long until they call the doctor over“Something is wrong,” what he’s saying must be false as he reaches down to feel my pulseHe looks around and says slow and steady“We can’t kill her if she’s dead already”.

Tina turnaround - by Leilani H.just got paid, ask the connect where he’s at.got $80 bucks and please make the sac fat.

Swing by the spot but always gotta wait.Cuz connects are really good at being late.

The wait is finally over, hurry up and pack the bowl. It’s gonna feel great as you fall fast down the hole.you feel so anxious as you think about the taste.Looking for floor shards, nothing goes to waste.

Now spark up the flame and please please don’t burn it.It helps a little if you just twist and turn it.

Take one big exhale, followed by an enormous hit.Its the only way to be sure your gonna get lit.

blow some huge dragon clouds or maybe some sick O’s.seconds later, theres tingling in your toes.

it shoots up your body straight to your brain.while you seem to think it’ll eliminate the pain.

Now 3 days later, i’m still wide awake.Wonderin to myself how much more i can take.empty baggie and wallet means its time to crash.

or find a way to hustle in some cash.everything important will start to fall apart.

start stealing from your family and the local mini mart.get stuck in crystal palace and forget about your job.

used to be so pretty but now your just a slob.before stupid dope you were responsible and happy.

but now thanks to crystal your just mean and snappy.and you wonder why even your friends don’t want you around.

cuz your Bad news bears and your only jail bound.drug classes and meetings, luckily this time no jail.

but thats where your goin if you happen to fail.so you gotta stay clean cuz they’ll test once a week.

now do you wish you never got sprung off this tweak?everywhere you look something’s gonna trigger your mind.

to avoid all these triggers you’d have to be blind.your car’s bein weird and your always feelin sick.

ask yourself now is this the life you pick?all that money and time wasted that you’ll never get back.

trust me its not worth it so don’t get that sac.get it together, you’ve got growin up to do.

its not too late to do something different and new.just think about all the weirdos you’ve come to meet.stop now before you result to hookin on the street.

it’s gonna be by far your hardest task in life.but i know i’d rather be a mother and a wife.

HOSPITALS & INSTUTUTIONS (H&I) subcommitee would like to invite you to join us. H&I carries a clear message of recovery to addicts who are unable to attend outside meet-ings. This is accomplished through the opera-tion of panels that visit specific facilities on a regular basis. Our belief is: “That no addict seeking recovery need ever die. . . Without finding the way to a better life.”

H & I OPEN POSITIONS: We need jail-cleared women to take two open panels at Musick, and two VIP-cleared males

for panels at Joplin Honor Ranch.
