Class: Senior Infants Room 4 Week beginning: 8th June 2020
Hi girls! How are you all? Can you believe it is the 8th of June already? The weeks are flying by! Please continue the great
work. The lessons you are doing are exercises for the mind, and you will find it so much easier to settle back into school if you
keep up the good work.
Gentle reminder: With schools closed we are going to have a home/virtual school tour. Check out some of the suggestions that
I have included that you could do from the comfort of your own home if you didn’t get a chance last week- I’m sure you will
have your ideas of your own which will be even better! Unfortunately, due to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) we
are unable to retain any videos or photos which show your child’s face or body. This is to ensure that we adhere to all Child
Protection and GDPR regulations.
Benny and his friends decided to build a little pillow fort and have a teddy bear tea party whilst reading some of our
favourite stories together! He would love to see what you get up to so you can send me a photo of the activity you choose to
go with
As always, please pick and choose the activities that suit you and your family best.
Kind regards,
Ms. Hennessy [email protected]

Home/virtual school tour:
If you didn’t get a chance to do it last week girls
make sure to do it this week! Check out some of
the options that I have included or you might like
to come up with your own
Home/Virtual School Tour Ideas:
1. Make a cozy blanket/pillow fort
2. Take your teddies/dolls…and take them on an adventure.
When they are exhausted from their garden excursions then
refuel them (and yourselves!) with a teddy bears picnic!
3. Go on a nature trail/minibeast hunt around the garden
(Maybe you can count how many butterflies, ladybirds or
beetles you can see. You could even collect your findings in an
empty jam jar, like feathers, leaves or pine cones. You can
make rubbings of tree trunks, bark, logs or even stone walls)
4. Make a fairy or dinosaur garden within your own garden.
5. Create a Pizza Garden
6. Have a look at what's happening at Zoos right now with their
webcam features!

7. Learn all about the farm through their virtual tours
8. Make bird feeders/do some bird watching
9. Plant some flowers
10. Paint pebbles/rock decorations
11. Have your own sports day (You could have an egg and spoon
race or even a three-legged race!)
12. Create obstacles out of so many household and garden items
13. Water Balloon Toss
14. Play fetch with the dog/play with the cat
15. Build a bug/insect hotel

other adult that you know and trust. You could also
