Wade Hilts Parent/Guardian: Molly Cliff-Hilts and Dave Hilts Accomplishments: • Starting and leading a blues band, the Backyard Blues Boys, that has

recorded an album and is playing at the main stage of the Waterfront Blues Festival this summer.

• Voted “most likely to be president” and “class clown” (an interesting combination) by the FHS senior class.

Megan Gleason Parent/Guardian: Beverly and John Gleason Accomplishments: • Awarded 2nd Place in Music in the school’s Battle of the Bands. • Worked collectively with the Grant High Environmental Club to obtain

permission to establish a Community Garden at Grant. • Won first in State on Grant High’s Constitution Team. Megan plans to attend University of Oregon - Clark Honors College.

Will Kuhn Parent/Guardian: Karen A. Kuhn and Tim Kuhn Accomplishments: • Throughout high school I have pursued my interest in electrical, electronic

and computer engineering through volunteering at Free Geek, building a computer, hosting a website, building solar panels for converted full-sized school bus and repairing many electronics.

• I also was able to become an active part in the Grant community through soccer, band, and robotics.

• My biggest accomplishment has been competitively obtaining an apprenticeship with Bonneville Power Administration as a Grounding Grid Specialist partnered with Sam Perkins working and enjoying the job for 8 weeks, 40hrs/wk.

Grant High School. I have been involved in the club all four years. • This past Spring Break I went on a missions trip to Tijuana Mexico to build

houses for four families there. • I have been actively involved in community service opportunities through my

church, Imago Dei, and through Grant. Haley plans to attend George Fox University.

Blair Robertson Parent/Guardian: Lisa and Kenyon Robertson Accomplishments: • Created two pieces of art that was featured in an art show at the IFCC. • Was accepted into the National Honor Society as one of only seven members. • Worked as a class advisor and created several pages in the school yearbook

• I have been on the Lincoln Mock Trial team my junior and senior years and am very proud of the accomplishment.

• I am the vice president of the Lincoln STAND Club (Students Taking Action Now: Darfur) which works to raise awareness about the genocide in Darfur.

Natalie McDonald Parent/Guardian: Ian and Sarah McDonald Accomplishments: • President, co-founder, and music director of Lincoln’s a cappella group,

Vivace. • President of the Lincoln Drama Cabinet and has participated in eleven school

Andrea Moon Parent/Guardian: In-Ho Moon and Jong Moon Accomplishments: • I won the Metro Arts Inc. Young Artist Concerto Competition in 2009, so I got

to perform a piano concerto at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. • I have been in the Portland Youth Philharmonic for seven years, four years in

the highest orchestra, and have been 2nd violin principal for the last 2 years. • I placed 2nd place at State in 2010 (the OSAA Solo Music Competition). Andrea plans to attend University of Rochester.

Claire Skach Parent/Guardian: Milly Skach and Bill Skach Accomplishments: • Full IB diploma candidate. • Certified Level 3-8 Rhythmic Gymnastics Judge. • Ranked 8th nationally in Rhythmic Gymnastics, Level 10. Senior member of

the U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team. Claire’s plans for college are undecided.

Stefani Smith Parent/Guardian: Sandra and Myron Smith Accomplishments: • Playing on Lincoln’s varsity soccer team for three years and winning State in

2008 was a highlight of my time in high school. • I have played piano for 13 years and being able to play Claude Debussy’s

“Clair de Lune” in 2008 was an accomplishment of a goal I had when I began playing piano.

• Last summer I had the opportunity to design and make “Around the World” banners for Kidney Camp for children with Kidney Disease.

Dillon Stambler Parent/Guardian: Barrett Stambler and Bobbie Regan Accomplishments: • Full IB Diploma. • 200+ hours of community service in local area and abroad. Volunteer

monthly, providing dinner at the Clark Center, a transitional center for men. Participated in community service projects in Oaxaca, Mexico; Heredia, Costa Rica; and Dakar, Senegal. Sponsor of a Senegalese child for the past five years through World Vision, providing him with funds to have life’s necessities and get an education. Visited the boy I sponsor in his village outside of Dakar last summer.

• Participant in various sports for Lincoln, at Lincoln and in the local community. Played soccer for Lincoln for all four years, lettering twice.

Dillon plans to attend UC Berkeley, USC, UCLA or University of Virginia.

Nate Barrett Parent/Guardian: Holly Barrett Accomplishments: • Helping produce, expand and improve The Constitution (MHS Newspaper),

making it into one of the best school newspapers in the Pacific Northwest. • Played a major role in starting up the MHS Yearbook and student store

(which MHS hasn’t had in nearly ten years). • Publishing over 15,000 pictures of MHS students, staff and community

events/people. Covered over 150 different events in the last two years. Nate plans to attend University of Oregon.

made it to playoffs and to me this was a great accomplishment as a person and as a teammate.

• Another important accomplishment is that I got the soccer team honorable mention. This was very important to me because it showed my hard work as an individual and also as a teammate.

• My third high school accomplishment is to be one of Pauling Academy’s Valedictorians. This is very important because I was able to accomplish my goals both as an athlete and as a scholar.

diabetics as a student intern at OHSU. • I worked successively teaching a group of special needs students as an

Outdoor School Counselor. • I have helped to engage young children with a love of learning through

tutoring, volunteer programs, and working with them on a daily basis as a teacher’s assistant.
