Recent professional activities & accomplishments: I work at Women’s Center for Radiology specializing in early detection of breast cancer. I am an Associate Professor of Radiology at UCF College of Medicine We hosted a Dean’s reception for Dean Michael Good, MD at our home in Altamonte Springs, FL on October 24, 2013. We enjoyed a friendly gathering of UFCOM physicians in the Central Florida Area. Family news: Spouse: William Grisaitis, MD Our daughter, Jennifer Sbicca, MD, is a dermatology resident at USC. Her husband, Joshua Sbicca, PhD, graduated from UF May 2014 and joined the faculty of Colorado State University. Other news/activities/hobbies: Photography, travel. I recently celebrated an important birthday with my cousins in Auckland, New Zealand. Favorite memory of medical school and/or Gainesville: Three: 1) Meeting my new class in 1977, including Larry Rooks and Lynn Berringer. 2) Dinner/Dance for graduation 1979. 3)My commencement day 1979 with my husband and our parents. Favorite faculty member or advisor: Dr. Smiley Hill guided me through my transfer from St. Louis Univ. Med School into UFCOM Dr. Eloise Harmon: I recently spent a week with Project Haiti with class of 2012, a great experience

Recent professional activities & accomplishments: I have been in private practice for thirty years, and see a combination of children, adolescents and adults. I'm on the clinical volunteer faculty at UCLA, which means that I supervise Psychiatry Residents and Child/Adolescent Fellows in their training. I recently began volunteering at the Venice Family Clinic two mornings a month, which allows me to treat a very different patient population than I am accustomed to in my office. Family news: I've been married to Mark for thirty years, now half of my lifetime! We have two sons, Steven, 28 and David, 25. They are both out of college and lucky enough to work for their dad in his medical coding business. Neither of them wanted to be doctors, but chose the business of medicine instead. It keeps them in Los Angeles, for which I am very thankful. They are having way more fun in their twenties than I recall having! Favorite faculty member or advisor: Who else but Dr. Hill?

Recent professional activities & accomplishments: Sonora Regional Medical Center Board Member Pacific Commerce Bank (Los Angeles) Board Member Sonora Union High School District Board Member/President Family news: My wife Shari started working as a successful licensed realtor this past year. Oldest daughter (Dena) with 2nd grandchild on the way; oldest son (Michael) became fireman in San Ramon, CA this year; 2nd daughter (Ariana) playing collegiate water polo; 2nd son/youngest child (Spencer) is a junior in high school. Other news/activities/hobbies: Skiing/snow-boarding in Colorado last week with Terry Grossman (class of '79) and John McNamara (class of '80) among others for annual ski-dog trip to various locales- our 33rd year in a row. Favorite memory of medical school and/or Gainesville: Partying with my junior honors classmates; Hippodrome plays at the old theater; Ichetucknee floats. Favorite faculty member or advisor: Jim Deyrup-associate dean and Tom Muther-pharmacology.

Recent professional activities & accomplishments: Happily Retired Family news: After a 4 year battle with prostate cancer, my ex-husband died April 1st of this year. May he rest in peace. Other news/activities/hobbies: I am offering an 8 week course to support veterans with PTSD. Also continuing my volunteer activities with Hospice and Project Cure. This year’s travel will be to Bhutan and Burma. Favorite memory of medical school and/or Gainesville: The beautiful crisp fall air- beyond refreshing on my early morning walks to the medical center.

Our son Chris, delivered by Dr. Hill, is in his last year of med school at UF. Daughter Celeste is a writer, editor, and web designer. Other news/activities/hobbies: TNTC Favorite memory of medical school and/or Gainesville: The camaraderie of so many great friends and colleagues Favorite faculty member or advisor: Impossible to choose just one. Dr. Hill is a given. Dr. Melvin Greer was also outstanding…a Socratic teacher and a true gentleman.
