Curriculum Intent: Students investigate the historical background of
conflict in the Middle East. Students explore the sources informing us of
the history of the Middle East and how they have been interpreted.
Students focus on issues relevant to the investigation of the Modern World
in order to develop historiographical skills. Students also investigate how
the consequences of past events can play a large role in the present day
circumstances in a particular region through an examination of the
evidence of conflicts and religious, social, political and economic
institutions.
