It’s a miracle! By: Alex

It’s a miracle! “Alex, lets play badminton!” Dad said excitedly from his seat on the couch.

“No way! I’m still doing my homework!” I shouted, looking up from my assignment. “Later after I’m done!”

“It’ll only be 30 minutes. Then you can do your homework.” Dad persisted, not giving in.

“Fine.” I sighed reluctantly. I wasn’t exactly in the mood for badminton, but Dad always won. BORING!

We walked to Megafit. Megafit is where we play badminton, due to of its large number of badminton courts.

“Warm up!” Dad commanded. Warming up is my least favorite part of badminton, but it is also the most important in a way. It stops your muscles from getting too sore and hurt.

Finally, we started to play badminton for real and I was happy about that. There was only one problem: that I couldn’t beat dad! He was way, way, way, way, way, way, way too good for me.

In a very significant round, I gave dad a ball that was critical to me. Dad could use his best shot! By pure luck, I got his ball from the shot! Dad was so surprised that he just stood there, his jaws hanging open. He didn’t even notice that I had won the round when then ball fell to the floor. The he came and congratulated me.

  4

Then we made the walk home. That night, when mom drove home from work, he told mom about it, and she praised me. It was a miracle! I couldn’t wait to tell my friends about it!

Meany +Bully= Mully

By: Celine

“You May walk out to recess, my 2nd graders!” Ms. Lilly said as she

stood up from her chair and took a deep breathe; and as usual Luke and Cici

walked out to recess together happily. But today something was not feeling

right to Luke and Cici, they thought something inferior was going to happen.

As they walked out the door to recess they heard a friend in Pre-K, named

Katie cry, they knew she was only three years old, she is not tough like them,

she can’t get hurt!” So Luke and I were deciding about should we go help

Katie or not. Luke thought “Na, just a puny little kid, not worth to help, not

even a good friend that I can play with.”

But I thought “ Yes, worth to help, she is to young to get hurt plus

meany+ bully=s Mully.” So Luke and I started to argue, so we decided to

rock- paper- sisscore shoot to decide. So basically I won, so we went to help…

Page 6: Class Book of Narratives

  6

When we got there the first thing I did was to drag Katie away from

danger. So after she went to play happily.

Then Luke and I both shouted to Matan the bully “ Meany+ Bully=

Mully!” So from now on whenever I met a bully I called them a mully.

So then Luke asked “ Why are you so mean?”

The Mully (Bully, Matan) murmured “ Cause I feel like it!”

Then I yelled “ You should treat others the way you want others to

treat you! So do you want to be bullied by someone?”

Matan then slowly whispered “ I… Don’t… Want… To… Be…

Blullied… By… Someone…!” Then Matan just walked away, and I knew his

lesson was learned!

I think no matter what, you should not be like Matan, the mully. But

if you don’t do it next time everything will be fine. Still I say “ Treat others

the way you want others to treat you!” That the golden rule so no matter

Page 7: Class Book of Narratives

  7

what, you have to follow it. Anyways never ever stever be a Mully in your

whole entire life!

Disney Land

By Chantelle Thierry

One day I went to Disney land in Los Angeles, California. I went my

brother Kelton and my cousin Emily I also went with my mom and dad.

We flew from Vancouver, Canada to Los Angeles, California. Once we got to the

hotel my dad told us that he had a surprise waiting for us in the hotel room I ran to the

elevator anguishes to see the surprise. I got up stairs to the hotel room. And there was my

cousin Emily, I was so excited I hadn’t seen Emily in almost a year. Emily said that we

where going to come with us to Disney land I looked at my mom and dad where going to

Disney land?” Surprise!” my parents exclaimed.

The next day we went to the rides.at first I wonted to go on all the rides in the park

until my mom said there was over 500 rids, she also said that we would have that much

time to visit all of the rides, then I decided that I would look to see if there were rides I knew

Page 9: Class Book of Narratives

  9

I wanted to ride. Then I saw the ride I wanted to go on first, were you go in a huge teacup

where you sit down and you can spin your self. I begged my mom to go on the ride, she said,

“only if Emily wants to go with you”. My mom asked Emily do you want to go with

Chantelle” Emily” said I wouldn’t miss it for the world with my little cousin” Emily and I

lined up in the long line. We wanted a 10 to 15 minutes in ∫line but it was all worth it.

After it was my brothers tern to pick a ride he chose California screaming, once I

saw that roller costar there was no way I was going on that ride .my mom, Emily and I

stayed back. My dad and brother went on the ride.

Then we went to see the water show. The water show is a show were water shots out

of a water canon and color’s go on the water so it make it looks like a movie. It went until

about 8:30 it was so cool. We went on two more rides then we went back to the hotel. I had

so much fun that day but we where leaving tomorrow. It a memory I will never forget.

The True Meaning Of Friendship! By: Elena Zhao

For:  Melinda  my  friend  from  Concordia  who  got  injured  just  for  me!!!  Melinda  is  like  Jenny  if  I                            have  a  situation.

Page 11: Class Book of Narratives

  11

“I’ll be back when you guys finish your 5 laps, I’m going to the

bathroom.” Yelled Mr. Johnson the middle school P.E. teacher. I was in P.E.

class struggling with my 5 laps while the others raced in front of me.

“You’re such a slow poke, Katherine!” teased Rachel the middle school

diva. Katherine really didn’t care since all she said was that she was a slow

poke. Until she asked “ Is your mom a snail?” happily. Rachel thought this

was really funny the other people were bursting with laughter even the ones

slower than Katherine. Everyone was laughing like crazy, everyone except for

Jenny and Katherine. Jenny was Katherine’s best friend she had never been

mean to Katherine. “Will you stop teasing me?” asked Katherine impatiently.

“If you would stop being a snail.” Rachel giggled. Just then… “I think all of you

have finished your 5 laps.” Inquired Mr. Johnson as he walked in the gym.

“Katherine didn’t” tattled Rachel trying to tattle one her and make her angry.

But instead Mr. Johnson encouraged her and said, “ You’ll finish next time,

but good try.” As he said that Rachel was starting to get furious so she

snatched away a basketball from Mr. Johnson’s back. Pretending she didn’t

Page 12: Class Book of Narratives

  12

do anything was hard so she started to laugh, she whistled quietly to cover

the laughter. “Where’s my basketball?” asked Mr. Johnson who always had

something called a teacher ball for himself foe each sport he teached. Nobody

knew it was actually right there next to him, nobody except for Rachel. So he

went to the supply room thinking that he left it there. When he was finally gone

Rachel started teasing again. “ You run slower than a snail that ate a 400

pound hamburger” Jenny knew that she had to do something. Not only was

Katherine her true best friend she was super annoyed. She wanted to glue

Rachel’s mouth SHUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She

went to Katherine and told her to ignore Rachel, that always worked but not

this time Rachel kept teasing her, “Are you going to race with a turtle

tomorrow or are you just too slow?” Rachel wouldn’t stop teasing. Jenny tried

and tried but she just couldn’t calm down unless she glued Rachel’s mouth

SHUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could anybody calm themselfs when you where in this

situation that could make you explode!!!!!! She marched up herself madly and

shouted,” If you tease Katherine again you are going to find me….”

“I already found you, and I’m not playing Hide And Seek!“ Rachel

replied.

“No I mean you are going to find me mad.” Jenny yelled.

Page 13: Class Book of Narratives

  13

Even though most people would’ve felt like they didn’t say anything

because most people are used to it but Rachel wasn’t “Its all because

of ”YOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

She yelled furiously. She did know that she was yelling but no she didn’t know

that she was screaming on the top of her lungs. “Shush” all the people in the

class, said trying to figure out what happened. Rachel was so embarrassed

she now knew that she shouldn’t tease other people but still everybody was

looking at her as if she did something really embarrassing. She couldn’t just

stand there and waited because nothing would happen everybody would just

stare at her. “Tell Mr. Johnson that I need to go to the bathroom!” she said as

she made a fake smile. Just as she left the room Katherine had a big smile

she whispered,” You saved me again, Jenny.”

Locked in the Bathroom

To  my  life-‐saving

babysitter,  Karen

Page 15: Class Book of Narratives

  15

Margret, Jackson, Karen and I were in the middle of a

monopoly game when it started. “Um, Margret?” “Hmm?” she said

moving her pale hand towards her shiny silver game piece. My

parents were having a fancy dinner with some friends so my

babysitter Karen had to babysit 3 people; Jackson, Margret and

me.

“Can you move for me? I have to go to the bathroom.”

“Sure!” she replied as she nocked Jackson’s game piece off

with her game piece. “Hey! We’re playing monopoly NOT sorry!”

Jackson complained. At that point I left so I wouldn’t see the

argument.

I walked into the bathroom and closed the door and turned

the metal lock. After I used the restroom, I washed my hands

and dried them. I reached out and turned the lock. No click

sound. “Huh. Lets try that again.” I muttered. I tried again.

And again and again. No click.

At that point I started worrying. My breathing went

heavy my face felt hot, and my eyes started burning. “Karen?” I

said in a small squeaky voice. She didn’t hear me. “Karen” I

said in a louder, but still in a shaky voice. Clipity clop

clipity clop. I heard small feet scurrying around until…

“Grace?” the sound of Margret’s soothing voice filled the

room. “Margret! Go get Karen!” I whispered desperately “Okay”

she whispered back. I heard more scurrying feet and some

Page 16: Class Book of Narratives

  16

ruffling of Margret’s sky blue dress as I paced back and forth

with my bob hair cut swaying with me as I waited. Clip clop,

heaver feet walked over to me. Karen! I thought.

“Grace, don’t cry” Karen advised. I did the exact

opposite. I cried and cried. “Shh!” she commanded. I stopped

mid tear. “Try again with more might!” she tipped.(Meaning:

advised)

I took a deep breath and used all my 4-year-old-srength

and turned the lock. Click. The lock unlocked as I pushed the

door open. I ran into Karen’s warm arms. I was so close, I

could smell her normal perfume. I could also feel the rough

texture off her deep ocean blue jeans, and her green shirt

decorated with apples.

“Lets make a deal.” She said in a low voice so no one

could hear. “What is it?” I whispered curiously. “No more

locking the bathroom door if you can’t re-open the door” she

advised. “Deal” I said shaking her warm hand. Take note, no

more locks! Hmm… how can I… “Karen!” a new voice interrupted

my thoughts.

“Yes sweetie?” she said as she pulled away from the

hug. “I found that penny you wanted.” Jackson answered. “Oh,

We don’t need that anymore. Grace got out of the bathroom

herself.” she replied. “Wait… WHAT?” he shrieked.

Page 17: Class Book of Narratives

  17

“Are saying here is that I just walked up 20 flights of

stairs for a penny and your saying you DON’T NEED IT?!” He

said in a outrage.

“Pretty much.” Karen said calmly. “Tee hee!” Margret

laughed as she as she walked over. “This is no joking matter!”

Jackson barked. Then we all laughed and teased Jackson as we

walked back to our non-dangerous game of monopoly.

I went to the Grand Canyon

By: Justin Olhava

One day, I wanted to go explore stuff and I was only 5 years old. So one day my

parents were not around because they were at the store called Trader Joes.

“Hey Brody do you want to come over,” asked Justin

“Sure,” whispered Brody

“Okay see you at my house in 15 minutes,” replied Justin.

So I went out of my house and I saw some very strange mountains. So I went over

there and it was the Grand Canyon and I never knew that before. “OH MY GOD look at that

size of that mountain,” Replied Justin. I had to hurry because they were only at the store for

45 minutes. So Brody and I wanted to play soccer but we do not know where the pump is for

the soccer ball to play with. So Brody and me decided we would not tell any one that we

were going to the Grand Canyon, then we went to the Grand Canyon went to the Grand

Canyon. We went to the Grand Canyon I got kind of freaked out that I was going to lie to my

parents because they would get so mad at me for going to the Grand Canyon?

So I decided to play football at my yard and it was the cleanest grass I ever saw in the

whole state in America. It was close to the Grand Canyon, so then I was to bored to play any

more football because there was no one else to play with. So I called Brody and he said he I

knocking on my door? Then I opened the door and it was Brody both best buddies. “So are

you ready to go to the Grand Canyon,” asked Justin “yep all ready to go,” replied Brody. We

took a little walk half way to the Grand Canyon and then after we took a taxi the rest of the

Page 19: Class Book of Narratives

  19

way to the Grand Canyon, It took 45 minutes to get there and we found a really big cave at

the top of the mountain.

I went into the cave really quietly and I saw spiders crawling on my pants. BOOM

their was bats nocking down rocks and then this Cave Man asked me “where am I,”asked the

Cave Man. I walked more around and when there was a dead end of a wall?

We ran out of the cave past the bats and past the lizards but the lizards were a

problem because they are really fast and really poisonous. They were really dangerous and

we had to stay away from the lizards so we had to stay in the cave for 10 minutes and so we

ran out of the cave and we never went to the cave again and my parents were mad at us.

“Max, time for school!!!” his mom yelled, “You don’t want to be late do

you?”

“Coming,” Max, hollered back. Max went back into his room. “Mom, I

forgot something,” Max said shyly.

“Hurry up, your dad is waiting to drive you to school” his mom told

him.

“Ok, I’ll be down stairs in a minute,” Max shouted. Max went to his

secret stash. “Yeah, only one hundred more dollars for the new awesome I-

Pad!!!” Max exclaimed. Max had always wanted an I-Pad ever since he was

born. So Max was thinking hard to get the one hundred dollars, suddenly

something popped in Max’s brain. He was going to have to convince his

parents to give him the one hundred dollars, he knew that they would never

say no to lunch money. So he went down stairs to ask his parents for the

money. “Mom, dad may I have one hundred dollars?” Max asked.

“Why?” they answered curiously.

Page 22: Class Book of Narratives

  22

“Oh you know… lunch money,” Max said uncomfortable.

“Ok,” his parents answered, and walked away like they didn’t care.

So after school, Max went straight on his computer to the website,

apple.com. That is where he had first saw the I-Pad and then he ordered the

I-Pad. It had a tag that said two hundred, and five dollars. Pay when it

comes. “Yes, just enough money!!!” Max exclaimed. Max had already saved up

one hundred and five dollars; now that he got the one hundred dollars he had

enough money for the I-Pad.

The next day, the I-Pad came. Max went to the door and gave the

delivery guy the money. Then Max sprinted up the stairs into his room and

opened his I-Pad. Since Max was the first person to buy it, the I-Pad had

every app on it. “COOL!!!” Max shouted. Unfortunately, when Max played

the apps on the I-Pad was earsplitting. Max’s dad came in “Hey what’s all

this noise!?!” he hollered.

“Oh, it’s just the new I-Pad I got.” Max said nervously.

Page 23: Class Book of Narratives

  23

“Hey, who gave you it and how did you even have enough money to buy

it?” his dad wondered aloud.

“Oh I just got it from my friend Prahlad. I’m going to pay him back

today at school,” Max answered.

“Ok, but make sure to pay him back,” his dad advised.

When Max went to school he brought his I-Pad with him, later he saw

his friends and showed them the I-Pad. “AWESOME!!!” Prahlad and Justin

said as their brown and blue eyes stared at the I-Pad. “How did you get it?”

Prahlad wondered.

“Oh my parents got it for me.” Max answered confidently.

“You have got awesome parents” Justin and Prahlad added.

“Yes I do” Max teased.

Just then Max’s dad passed by to pick Max up. “How was school today

Max” Max’s dad asked. Just as Max tried to answer, Prahlad and Justin

Page 24: Class Book of Narratives

  24

came by and asked, all about how he got the I-Pad, if it was hard and all that

nonsense. “Wait up boys,” Max’s dad called in confusion ‘I thought Prahlad

you gave him the I-Pad?”

“What?” Prahlad exclaimed, “I don’t even have any money!!!” “MAX,

get in the car and were going home” Max’s dad hollered. So when they were

home Max’s dad gave Max lecture, Max’s final words were “Yes dad, I will

never do it again.”

Wanting a Puppy By Matan

“Wait up!” I shouted to my mom as I biked towards her exhaustingly. In

my head I had something really important to ask her. Once I caught up I saw

her dark red hair waving in the air as she was riding her electric bike. She

was wearing her favorite red shirt and jeans that were worn away at the

knees.

“Mom,” I said.

“What!” she answered as she glanced at me for about a second. She

didn’t really look at me a lot because we were riding home at a pretty high

speed and we didn’t want any accidents.

“I want a dog,” I said to her proudly.

“What?” she shot back at me with a confused look on her face.

“I. Want. A. Dog.” I said slowly so she would understand.

“I heard what you said, but we can’t get a dog,” She said.

“Why not?” I asked.

“Because we are only here for one year and your sister doesn’t agree.”

“If I get her to agree then is it okay?” I asked hoping she would say

yes.

“Okay, only if your sister agrees.”

Right then I knew my sister never say yes. So I biked home faster to

have time to think of what I would say to convince her to get a dog. Once I

Page 27: Class Book of Narratives

  27

got home I put my bike in the garage. My sister wasn’t here so I thought and

thought, but suddenly the doorbell rang and it was my sister so I decide to ask

her why she doesn’t want a dog. “Why don’t you want a dog?” I asked. “It’s

not scary or anything like that,” I said as I tried to convince her.

“Look I just don’t. Okay.” She mumbled.

“Fine, what kind do you want?” I sighed.

“First of all, I want a puppy not a dog and one that doesn’t bite or

bark,” She answered.

“Fine,” I agreed. We shook hands and agreed we wanted a puppy!

The Adventures Of Bob: The Temple Of Oyzcaz

By: Max McBride

It was a cool summer day in the city of Boyaz. Bob the adventurer was in his white house

watching TV. It was 11:15 and Bob was watching a football game. Know its obvious Bob is

an average guy but it not obvious he has an above average life. Bob’s black phone rang. As

he picked it up he could hear his agents rusty voice say, “Big B I have this temple I need you

to visit it’s called the temple of Oyzcaz.” Bob’s friends like to call him big B.

“Hey Mr. Agent Sir why do I need to visit this temple again?” Bob asked.

“Because there is this gem and if it falls into the wrong hands we are all going to be

toast, you have until six thirty good luck!” Mr. Agent Sir barked then hung up the phone. Bob

ran upstairs to wake up his thirty-six-year-old sidekick Brain or small B. Brian was upstairs

sleeping in his very small bed.

“Brian wake up,” Bob yelled. Brian woke up startled.

“What was that?” Brian asked.

“It was me come on Brian we have to go!” Bob replied.

“Go where?” Brain asked again. He stood up while he asked that. Brain was in short

sleeves and shorts, like always.

“To a temple called Oyzcaz. Bob replied. Bob and Brain walked outside then hopped

in their black pickup truck. The two adventures sped off into the open road. They where

heading for the temple of Oyzcaz. Bob and Brian soon arrived at the golden temple of

Oyzcaz. As they parked they saw a red mini van parked near the entrance. The car smelled

like Chinese food. “I think we should go inside the temple.” Bob whispered suspiciously.

Page 30: Class Book of Narratives

  30

“Good idea.” Brian replied. But sadly that wasn’t a good idea because as they walked

in BANG tons of knives shot out from the walls. “That was close!” Brian exclaimed. “We

almost got killed!”

“Your right Brain we’re going to need to watch out” Bob replied. Bob was right the

whole way Bob and Braine were dodging tons and tons of bobby traps. They stopped at a

door ten times bigger than five foot seven inches Brain. “This is probably where the gem is.”

Bob told Brain in awe.

“Wait what gem?” Brian asked.

“Haven’t I told you the gem of the temple of Oyzcaz?” Brain barked back. With that

Bob took used both of his strong arms to pry open the huge door.

Bob and Brian walked into the small room behind the door and in the middle was the

beautiful gem of Oyzcaz. But as they walked in the two adventures didn’t only hear two pairs

of footsteps instead they heard five. All Five of those footsteps were tiptoeing around the

room. “What was that?” Brain whispered.

“I don’t know but I thin we are about to find out.” Three dark shadows appeared on

the wall then three human bodies emerge from behind a corner. It was the Chinese police the

dreaded enemies of Bob and Brain. This band of bad guys was worst than any other around.

The worst thing about these guys was they smelled like Chinese food that was left in the

sewer for more than one year. These three guys names are Chi, Ne, and Se. All three of the

men were dressed in dark red tuxedos and dark purple pants. It was probably the worst

fashion statement Brain has ever saw. “So we meet again Chinese police hopefully this will

be the last.” Brain claimed.

Page 31: Class Book of Narratives

  31

“Bob and Brain, the best adventures to live, so happy to see you!” Chi replied

sarcastically. Chi was the leader of the Chinese Police.

“Chi why are we here again?” Ne asked as he whispered. He always forgets why they

follow Bob and Brian everywhere they go.

“Quiet Ne I’m about to say my line!” Chi whispered back. “It seems like we both

want this gem.” Chi told Bob and Brian.

“Yes, yes it does seem like we both want this gem.” Brian replied. But little did the

Chinese Police know, Bob and Brian already got the gem. Bob and Brian sprinted for the

door. They made it to the door but weren’t able to get to the black pickup truck.

“So this is what it comes down to a fight in the parking lot, this makes absolutely no

sense.” Se wailed. He hated having to fight in big hot parking lots.

“Se quiet know lets all pull out are weapons and attack Bob and Brian” Chi told Se

and Ne. Bob and Brian were ready for the Chinese Police to attack but didn’t have the

weapons to fight. It was to late because the Chinese Police had already started their charge as

Bob and Brain came up with their plan. Bob and Brian were able to hold them off, but not for

much longer. Crowds started to emerge from every direction. Bob and Brian instantly knew

what to do. The two adventures step into to the crowd that grew by the second. It was hard to

get past the enormous crowd but they eventually made it to their black pickup truck. They

zipped of down the road toward the house of Bob and Brian. The two adventures arrived in

the nick of time just as the clock the six thirty. When it did the two adventures heard a loud

BOOM and were happy they arrived safely with the gem!

The Unbelievable

Journey

BY: Prahlad 4AR

Page 33: Class Book of Narratives

  33

This story begins in a village in the west of earth. In that village there were 5 children

not aware that they were going to have an adventure of a lifetime. Those kids are Luke, Max,

Lad, Rebecca and Justin. Lad, Max and Luke were triplets whereas Justin and Rebecca were

just friends. One Monday morning the children were playing around when the elder of the

village (the head of the village) asked them to come inside his office. When they came in the

elder sighed, “Our village is going to be destroyed in a terrible war because we are in the

middle of the battle field.”

“What do you want with us then, to just scare us,” mumbled Luke.

“No.” answered the elder of the village. “ I want you to go to the east of earth and be safe. I

know there will be a village in the east, and you will live there.” There was a moment of

silence, and then Max and Lad left the room speechless. Then Rebecca, Justin and Luke

followed.

The next day all 5 of the children departed from their village, so they can reach the

village in the east. A few days after their leave they came across a forest and immediately

stopped. They all stared up at the trees that were like skyscrapers and nearly reaching the sky,

Page 34: Class Book of Narratives

  34

whereas the animals were all down on the ground. When they reached deeper in the forest,

the place got darker and darker, making it impossible to see. Just then Lad and Luke

collapsed onto the ground. When Max picked up Luke and Lad he found one spider bite on

each of them. “Come on lets pick them up, Justin.” Max commanded while picking up Lad.

“What, why me, why not Rebecca?” stammered Justin.

“ One, because she is a girl, two, I just say so,” Bellowed Max

“Ugggghhhh, fine I’ll do it.” Justin muttered. After a little while they came across a huge

boulder and on top of it was a man sitting down. He had a baldhead and a brown beard, with

a wrinkly body and a walking stick right next to him. The old man had no t-shirt on, which

was showing his ribs coming out further than his stomach. Just then Lad and Luke got up

looking still very weak. Just then the old man looked up and said “ ahhh, travelers I know all

about your quest and I have a tip for you.

Your journey will now start getting dangerous that is first,

there will be something out there that will make you fall over.

It makes you and things like trees move around like they were toys.

Next will be a great resource to men everywhere,

But can also be dangerous in many ways.

That is all young ones now continue your journey.” That was enough to make the kids start

walking again. Soon after they left the kids felt the ground moving under their feet. Most of

the kids started to fall over when Rebecca shouted “EARTHQUAK”. The kid started to run,

and they ducked into a cave for cover. They only took one breath, when all of a sudden rocks

started to fall from the cave. Those made the kids go back to where they started of, running.

Page 35: Class Book of Narratives

  35

When the ground stop shaking the kids found themselves under a shady palm tree. They all

fell to the ground and started to sleep because of pure exhaustion.

The second the children woke up, they all realized they were next to a sea. Beyond

the sea was the sun rising and all of the children could see it. “Guess we have to go that

direction.” Sighed Justin.

“Yep, lets go,” replied Luke enthusiastically, like this whole thing was a game. They all

started swimming with the calm waves around them and fresh salty air right above them. It

didn’t take long to spot the village where they had to go. They soon all washed up on shore

with sand right beneath their feet.

As they walked, the children of the village noticed them and greeted Rebecca, Luke,

Lad, Justin and Max. The elder of the village was the last to greet them. “Welcome to our

village. May I ask for each of your names and where you came from.” Announced the elder

of the village.

Lad stepped forward “ My name is Lad, and this is Luke and Max my brothers, and here is

Justin and Rebecca just friends.” Lad replied.

“We have come from a village from the west. There is a battle raging on over there and our

village is in the middle of the battlefield. So our elder sent us here so we can be safe.” Max

explained.

“ I see, well you are all ways welcome here” exclaimed the elder. From then on Max, Lad,

Luke, Justin and Rebecca lived a happy life in the village. Still they did not change, they

were all still energetic kids playing around and sometimes causing trouble. And now this is

the end of the story about kids who traveled around the world.

Robert is Lost

“Dad, dad can I go look at the dogs over at the animal food area?” I quickly asked,

“And today there will might be some dogs on the floor in the top opened cages, where you

can go in and play with the dogs.”

“Slow down Robert, your not on a horse racing in a race track riding that

horse are you?” dad teased with a smile pointing at my t-shirt cause I had a

mustang on my t-shirt. I really don’t know why dad always makes every question

into a funny joke and I don’t like it.

“Dad, I’m serious can I please go?” I complained, wanting for a straight

answer without a joke. But like always dad jokes around and he said,

“Good morning Mr. Serious and I think you can go to the dogs but I don’t

think you may go until you say things your sentences and words correctly”

“Dad I get it, may I go to the dog cages area?” I asked dad with a fake smile

and a soft kind-ish voice, then dad sighed,

“Yes, yes you may go to the dogs.” Dad murmured and turned away

wondering off looking for carrots. After he stopped I quickly ran to the dog cages

area but, the dogs weren’t out and they were in their glass container with breathing

holes but then I saw the cutest thing in my whole entire life it was a small puppy I

Page 38: Class Book of Narratives

  38

didn’t know what type of species the dog was but I knew it liked me. I don’t know

how but I knew the dog liked me.

I ran quickly to the place where dad I was but when I got there I yelled,

“dad…dad where are you?” Then I felt myself shaking with fear and all of my bad

feelings came out and I felt myself turning hot and red. I was lost!! I ran to every

column and every row that was inside the market, I think almost. After I tried to

check every where my face was even hotter and I was shaking faster and my head

was more red, my heart was beating fast now tears were sneaking out of my eyes I

couldn’t hold a scream I had in my mouth any longer, but I had to.

Then in front of me I saw a big shadow, and the shadow combined with my

shadow. My body needed to turn around to see whom it was so I tried to stop

shaking and I slowly turned around. It was an old man with a cane and a hat

Charles Chaplin whore. My body started to shake, not because of the fear it was

because I needed to laugh because I was afraid of an old man with a cane! But then

he said in a deep voice

“Are you lost little boy?” I couldn’t tell him I was lost or he’ll might kidnap

me, so I said,

Page 39: Class Book of Narratives

  39

“No, I am not lost but can you help me find my dad?”

“Sure.” Replied the old man “And while we are walking may you please tell

how you got lost and how your dad looks like?”

“Sure” I answered while following him and keeping a three feet space between

him and I so he wont have a chance to turn around and kidnap me.

And so I said, “I asked my dad if I could go to the dog area and he said yes

so I went and when I went back to where he was and he wasn’t there so I went

wondering around and you found me. And my dad, he has glasses maybe ten feet

tall and bug bushy eyebrow and brown hair with a Mohawk and….” Well I guess he

wasn’t looking at me and he was talking to the cashier I didn’t knew what they were

doing so I yelled quietly

“Dad where are you?” then I looked back at the old man and the cashier but

they were already looking at me

“Excuse me did you say something?” the old man asked me

“N..n…no sir” I replied back and turned away looking for my dad. Then I looked

back at the cashier he had a microphone and he was almost about to press a red button!!!

And my dad told me to never press a red button under any condition. But right before the

Page 40: Class Book of Narratives

  40

cashier’s finger touched the red button my dad came and said “Mr. cashier you don’t have

to press the red button that is my son Robert.” Then I quickly ran up to dad and hugged

him. Then I squeezed tighter and gave him a big bear hug.

“Is that your dad?” the old man asked

“Yes” I replied

“I thought you said that your dad has glasses maybe ten feet tall and bug bushy

eyebrow and brown hair with a Mohawk?”

“Ummmm…. I never said that” I said stepping back

“Robert did you say that?” my dad hissed at me while turning around and walking

back toward his cart pushing me away from the old man and the cashier

“Yeah I did” I said “And dad?”

“Yeah?” dad replied

“Can we buy a dog?” I asked crossing my finger

“Yes we can,” dad replied with a smile.

Page 41: Class Book of Narratives

  41

“Umm dad, where is our cart?” I asked with confusion look because the cart was

right in front of us before we were gonna load our car. And go to the pet shop place to buy

our dog.

“Hey, that guy has our cart.” dad yelled while pointing at a guy wearing a

red t-shirt and black Nike sports pant running away with our cart filled with carrots and

other vegetable. Well I can’t tell you what happened next cause that is a different story

from this story.

LOST?!

“I never want to leave the Maldives”. Sighed Sofia as she put her hands behind her

head like a pillow. “Remember Sofia we’re leaving tomorrow so enjoy your last day in the

Maldives”. Mom said as she reminded me. “But mom! I don’t want to leave”! I exclaimed

looking like I was about to cry. Finally my mom left then I bolted to the middle of the island

and started to sob.I stopped and looked around then realized I WAS LOST!!!! I was sobbing

like a crazy person I saw some one.

“Ciara is that you!? I yelled like I was so happy to see her.

“Yes is that you Sofia”? she asked curiously. “ Hey you’re my guide for the lucky

dolphin trip right”? I asked.

“Yes but I better call Hassan to tell you mom and dad you’re ok”. Ciara told me.

“Is Hassan our guide for basically everything”? I asked.

“Yes he is .”Ciara said.

Finally I got to Sherin who was our manager and she helped us book our activities.

Sherin took me home to my villa. “Mom I’m home!” I exclaimed as I walked in to the room.

“thank goodness you’re ok”! mom exclaimed “yeah I’m fine, Ciara found me and brought me

to sherin, then sherin brought me back.” I explained to my mom “mom I would never have

came to this awesome island if it wasn’t for you”. I told my mom. “SOFIA help me pack”.

Yelled my dad from the bath room where he was packing. “Sofia promise you will never run

off like that again.” Said mom “I promise I won’t” I said but I did and that’s a way different

story.

DEFEND By: Vincent Zhang

Page 45: Class Book of Narratives

  45

Defend “Hello Vincent,” said Scourge while walking

past me with his brown horse.

“Hello,” I replied. “I waited so long for you.

Common, lets go to the new art museum in the

castle.” Scourge and I walked away from the field

and laugh at some jokes that we told.

When we reach the castle, we heard the

rumbling noise of a lot of people and horses.

When we rush inside, we saw a few people selling

meat from a wagon and others walking into their

houses.

“An army is coming! Defend yourself!” we

shouted. Knights quickly get their weapons and get

to their positions. Some knights get bow and

Page 46: Class Book of Narratives

  46

arrows, some get spears, and some get a sword.

We quickly call Austin and he came with the

same weapons as us. He swung is bow and arrow

on his shoulder and grip his sword.

“Lets beat them up!” he said while grinning.

Then he went out.

“Charge!” shrieked Scourge. Every knight when

outside and attack at the enemy. Some knight

stayed in to protect the people inside the castle

and shoot at the people outside. The knight

fought to protect the castle but some of them

were dead. The knights were clashing the swords

like crazy. Some of them slash their sword

everywhere at the enemy when they have been

stroked. I quickly stab my sword at a full-

armored person and let go. He backs up then

charge at me. I deflect his sword and grab the

Page 47: Class Book of Narratives

  47

edge of it then I let go. He stumbled then he lost

his balance and drops the sword. Then he runs

away.

The knight were losing so the went back to

the castle. It’s beginning to darken so everybody

(except the knights) went home (or tents).

In the enemy, Alex turns off the lights and

then sneaks up on his roommate. He stabs his

knife on his right shoulder. He was dead. He did

the same thing with everyone. His leader was the

last person to die. Alex did the same thing and the

leader let out a scream

“AAAAAAAAA!” his leader screamed but

everyone was dead so no one heard the leader.

When the knights heard the scream, they quickly

rush to the enemy’s tents and they saw Alex

stabbing his leader using a silver knife that

Page 48: Class Book of Narratives

  48

sparkles in the moonlight with a few red stains

on it.

After that, the king decided to let Alex to join

the knights and they celebrate for a long time

because they defeat an army that has never been

defeated before. The news of the victory spread

like as fast as lightning speed and they never have

any more rivals again.
