1 DATE: 16 January 2015 TO: LCC CLASS OF 2015 FR: Georgia Abbey, Executive Director RE: February 4TH, 2015 PROGRAM DAY AGENDA; GENERAL REMINDERS Government Day Agenda- SEE PAGE 3 Please take note of the following as you plan for our upcoming program day, Government Day, Wednesday February 4th. We have made arrangement for snacks and a tour of the Big Springs Distillery to take place at the end of the day. We will provide snacks and there will be a cash bar. If you want to hang around, please make sure you mark your calendars and make appropriate CARPOOL arrangements for the day. Also, please let me know you plan to attend this event so that I can provide Big Springs with an accurate account. Let me know via email if you are coming or not. Thanks. TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING We will begin at the Board Meeting Room (lower level) of Patton Township Office at 100 Patton Plaza in State College. The township office is located just south of the on-ramp to Interstate 99 at the intersection of North Atherton and Valley Vista Roads. We will be in this location until ~ 10:30 am then you will be responsible for your own transportation to Rockview Prison, and the Willowbank Building in Bellefonte. Instructions for parking at Rockview will be shared with you that day. At the Willowbank Building YOU WILL ENTER THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF WILLOWBANK BUILDING. WE SUGGEST YOU LEAVE BACKPACKS AND EVEN YOUR PURSES IN YOUR CAR AS THESE WILL HAVE TO BE SEARCHED BEFORE YOU ENTER. THERE WILL ~ 20 PARKING SPACES CORDONED OFF FOR LCC CLASS MEMBERS THAT DAY. You might want to consider organizing a carpool for the day. Some folks in past years have carpooled from the Nittany Mall, which seems to work out great. We’ll start with a continental breakfast at 7:30 AM. The program begins promptly at 7:50 AM. Please plan to leave enough time for inclement weather. In case of really bad weather, we will follow our cancellation policy, which will be announced that morning on LCC’s Facebook and Web Page. Again, we will spend the morning at the Patton Township Office, mid-day at Rockview, and the afternoon in Bellefonte at the Willowbank Building. There will only be 20 spaceS cordoned off at the Willowbank building so again – you might want to CARPOOL. NOTE: We will cap off the day with a tour of Big Spring Distillery right across the street off of Phoenix Drive in the Matchbox Factory. If it suits, you can park your car there and walk over to Willowbank.
