ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE Where: El Centro Community Center Activity Room Ages: 18 years and up Dates: Ongoing Times: Monday—Thursday 8:30 am—11:30 am Cost: Enrollment through CUHSD Learn basic English language skills. Writing skills are taught to beginning English speakers. (Contracted through the Central Union High School District, Desert Oasis). ART PROGRAM—YOUTH Where: El Centro Community Center BATS Room Ages: 6—15 years old Dates: Ongoing Times: Monday—Friday 3:45—4:45 pm Cost: $30 per month / child All materials are included. Kids will learn painting, drawing and ceramics. Only 15 students per class for each 4 week course. Register at the Community Center.
AFTERSCHOOL ‘KIDS R US’ PROGRAM Where: El Centro Community Center Activity Room Ages: K—8th grades Dates: Ongoing Times: Monday—Friday 1:00—4:30 pm Cost: $1 per day / child
The program provides art, crafts, nutrition & hygiene, gardening, indoor/outdoor games, and special holiday events.
YOUTH KARATE Where: El Centro Community Center Room A Ages: 7 years and up Dates: Ongoing Times: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00—7:45 pm Cost: Free (Uniform Cost)
Open to boys and girls. Karate is an excellent form of exercise engaging the whole body and mind. Register at the Community Center.

YOGA Where: Old Post Office Building Ages: Young Adult to Seniors Dates: Ongoing Times: Tuesday & Thursday - 12-1pm Monday—Thursday - 5:30-7pm Cost: $40 p/ month
The program provides an ancient art that improves your health through flowing movements that reduce stress and increase your energy. Register at the Community Center. ZUMBA Where: Conrad Harrison Youth Center & Community Center Ages: Adult & Seniors Dates: Ongoing Times: Tuesday & Thursday 10:00—11 am @ CHYC 5:15-6:15 pm @ ECCC Cost: $25 p/ month
Program teaches new Latin dance moves and its exercise at the same time. Register at the Youth Center or the Community Center. AEROBICS CLASS Where: El Centro Community Center Rooms A & B Ages: 13 years and up Dates: September—December Times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30—7:00 pm Cost: $20 per month
Come and tone up with some moderate exercise. Participants must wear workout clothing and tennis shoes. Register at the Community Center.
YOUTH VOLLEYBALL SKILLS CLINICS Where: Conrad Harrison Youth Center Ages: Grades 4th—8th Dates: January 24 & 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28 March 7, 14, 21, 28 Times: Saturdays 9—11am Cost: $40 per Child
This program teaches the basic fundamentals of serving, setting, bumping and passing. The Central Union High Girls Volleyball team will be assisting with training.
OPEN GYM Where: Conrad Harrison Youth Center Ages: All Dates: Monday—Friday Times: 8:00 am—7:30 pm Cost: $1 per child or $2 per adult

Seniors can enjoy a social hour with other seniors or meet new seniors. SENIOR CITIZEN QUILTING & CROTCHET Where: El Centro Community Center Arts & Crafts Room Ages: Adults & Seniors Dates: October—December Times: Wednesdays 9am—12pm Cost: Free, (bring your material)
Come socialize with other seniors while working on your quilting or crotchet project, or come and learn. Projects are entered in the IV Expo Show in February. SENIOR ART CLASS Where: El Centro Community Center BATS Room Ages: Adults & Seniors Dates: Monday—Friday Times: 9am—11am Cost: $10 per month seniors (55 & over) $30 per month adults All materials are included.
