L’Hotel si sviluppa attorno e all’interno della Torre

della Pagliazza, divenuta simbolo dell’edificio

stesso: questa rappresenta infatti la più antica

costruzione ancora in piedi nel centro storico

fiorentino. Le sue incerte origini si collocano tra il VI

e il VII secolo. Dal XII secolo venne utilizzata quale

prigione femminile, da cui il nome “Pagliazza”;

successivamente presso la Torre fu costruita la

Chiesa di San Michele in Palchetto. Nell’Ottocento

le diverse strutture vennero raccolte assieme,

diventando parte integrante del Cuore di Firenze.

La Torre giunge ad oggi completamente restaurata

per esprimere tutto il suo splendore.

The hotel develops around and inside the ‘Pagliazza

Tower’, which has become the symbol of the building

itself: this is in fact the oldest construction still standing

in the historical centre of Florence. Its uncertain origins

lie between the sixth and seventh century. From the XII

century, began to be used as a women’s prison, which

is why it came to be known as ‘Pagliazza’; only later, the

San Michele in Palchetto Church was built nearby. In the

eighteenth century, the two buildings were embedded

together, to become the Soul of the Heart of Florence.

The Tower reaches our days completely refurbished

revealing all its splendor.

new gourmet temple of Florentine gastronomy,

attentive to the simple flavours of Tuscany and its

time-honoured recipes. Guests are welcomed in a

romantic and unique 7-tables-area, with a setting

that is sober in taste and refined in the chosen

materials in a careful choreography of gracious,

highly professional service.

La più informale “Osteria Pagliazza” è situata al piano terreno della Torre della Pagliazza, durante la bella stagione offre un dehors sulla suggestiva piazzetta antistante l’albergo. Le belle pareti in pietra antica risaltano insieme a elementi moderni in cristallo, grandi vetrate, accoglienti divanetti e poltrone in velluto scarlatto, tocchi di design e illuminazione soffusa.Nel Menu si prediligono l’ispirazione toscana e gli ingredienti del territorio. Light Lunch Menu e ampia proposta vegana e vegetariana.

The more informal “Osteria Pagliazza” is located on

the ground floor of the Torre della Pagliazza, and

during spring and summer it offers an outdoor area

overlooking the charming square in front of the hotel.

The beautiful old stone walls stand out together with

modern crystal elements, large windows, cosy love

seats and armchairs in scarlet velvet, design touches,

and soft lighting.

The Menu favours Tuscan inspiration and ingredients

of the territory. Light Lunch Menu and a wide vegan

and vegetarian offer.
