The way to install the AdventureWorksDW 2012 is to copy the .mdf and .log to the

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA

Then use SSMS to attach it.

Firstly, install the pentaho. Then download the jtds then past it to the ./data-integration/lib

After that, I can connect pentaho to ms sql 2014

Use the sql server configu to check the ip address and prot.

Then for each time (When dimension, when create a new job, when create a new

transformation, ets) we need connect, I will input things below (Notice that, I have been set the

sa on LAB1, so I use the current sa who’s password are CIS611.

Click Test first to check whether the connect worked

Then save it as .ktr

Then I did not find the Pivot4J view.

So, download the plugin Pivot4j to plugins

Then I found that I can not login

After half a day struggle, I redownload an old version of pentaho (7.0) then I can log-in.

(However, the log-in id is Admin, not admin…. I understand it when I almost down the analysis).
