Analysis, Design, and Presentation

Today, many information workers need a solid technical knowledge, strong oral and written communication skills, good analytical ability, and an understanding of business operations and processes. Critical to your success in the digital workplace depends upon how you analyze and solve problems, communicate effectively, work in a team, and present yourself professionally.

Final Project

In this final project, you will

· create a minimum 5-minute presentation using the following Design a Cell Phone game

· presentation must have slides (Google slides, .pptx, Adobe Spark), .mp4 file of video screen recording with your audio narration. Think of yourself standing in front of the class delivering your presentation

· create a user’s manual

· submit slides file, .mp4 file, and user manual .docx file via Canvas. Do not email me the presentation, do not submit the presentation via the Gradebook Comments

At the end of this project, you will;

· Play a game!!

· Analyze requirements

· Design a new cell phone

· Write a user’s manual – one page (.5” margins, 12 point font, single space) user manual appropriate for your audience, name the file: your_name_cellphone_users_manual.docx

NOTE: Before you write your user’s manual, I suggest that you research on what makes a good user’s manual

· Create a PowerPoint presentation documenting your cell phone analysis requirements, design, and results, name the file: your_name_cellphone_presentation.pptxNOTE: should have 10-12 slides, use various PowerPoint features: animation, transitions, etc.

NOTE: create the presentation as if you were presenting to the class, or presenting to your boss, or presenting a sales pitch

· Present and record your requirements/analysis/design/results/powerpoint presentation in a 5-minute video and audio presentation. Submit your video and audio presentation

· upload your presentation to YouTube OR

· use Microsoft PowerPoint Record a Voice narration (NOTE: this may create a HUGH file, some email providers have limits on attached files) (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/add-narration-to-a-presentation-HA001230306.aspx) OR

· utilize free tools like Screen-O-Matic: http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/

Students can utilize any screen recording software or website that produces video recording with audio narration

· Submit to Canvas

3. link to your YouTube presentation OR link to Screen-O-Matic presentation OR .pptx file with voice narration OR .mp4 file
