    The Bar Council is renewing its focus once again on the need

    to establish the Independent Police Complaints and

    Misconduct Commission (IPCMC), particularly in light of

    the deaths in police custody that continue unabated in

    Malaysia.

    In this regard, the Bar Council Task Force on IPCMC is

    holding a public forum on Police Accountability in

    Malaysia.

    Speakers for this forum include Christopher Leong,

    President of the Malaysian Bar; Yeo Yang Poh, former

    President of the Malaysian Bar; and Phil Robertson, the

    Deputy Director of Human Rights Watch Asia.
