SUBJECT
WORKSHOP ON THE GUIDELINES IN TAGGING GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURES FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
1.0 In line with the Department of Budget and Management - Climate Change Commission Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2015-01, a whole-day Workshop on the Guidelines in Tagging Government Expenditures for Climate Change in the Budget Process shall be held in three (3) batches as follows:
Date Venue March 16, 2018 Cocoon Boutique Hotel, Quezon City
March 19- 20, 2018 Hive Hotel and Convention Place, Quezon City
2.0 The Workshop aims to familiarize agencies with the Climate Change Expenditures Tagging (CCET) guidelines and provide snapshots on the Online Submission of Budget Proposal System (OSBPS) prepared by DBM for tagging CC-related expenditures in order to ensure consistency of the reports submitted in the OSBPS and the Quality Assurance Report (QAR).
3.0 In this regard and due to the limited space of the venue, one (1) official/technical staff from each of the planning and budgeting office and one (1) climate change focal person from each department/ agency/office/corporation are requested to attend the workshop. Please refer to Annex A for the workshop schedule and list of department/agency/office/corporation participants.
4.0 As the orientation will have a hands-on workshop, the participants are requested to bring one (1) laptop per agency and a matrix of the agency's three-year budgetary allocation for climate change expenditure for tagging simulation purposes.
