Scope
• Demonstrating the feasibility of circular economy business models that underpin new services based on:
o performance/functionality rather than ownership
o And/or mass customisation
• All forms of innovation to be addressed
• Proposals should consider ways supporting co-creation by developing new business models with end-users
• Support to end-users by awareness raising and knowledge sharing activities on circular economy models

Scope
• To demonstrate innovative solutions at a large scale (regions, cities, river basins)
• Focus on water services of the future, addressing the different water value chains
• Build on experience gained in areas where integration of various aspects of water management and other economic and social activities is already taking place
• Participation of industry partners essential
• Relevant socio-economic issues (regulatory, governance, social behaviour and acceptability) SSH disciplines
• Digital technologies and ICT tools should be considered

1. Up to 10 Innovation Deals may origin through the Horizon 2020 Calls CIRC-01 and CIRC-02 (WP2016/2017 under Industry 2000 in the Circular Economy).
2. Applicants will be asked to outline their innovations and identify where they think EU regulatory frameworks are
causing a blockage in getting their innovation to market.
3. The EC will launch a pilot phase and call for Expressions of Interest focused on Innovation Deals for a Circular Economy in spring -> Up to 5 Expressions of Interest will be selected and will become Innovation Deals
