We are so proud to announce that SMMCS’s own Hannah McCready won the Junior Title at Next Level Regional Dance Competition this past weekend! Hannah is a 5th grade student and is the daughter of Traci and Erik McCready, and the big sis of 3rd grade student Hayden McCready! Hannah danced two solos and was interviewed on stage in front of a couple hundred people! Hannah dances about 25 hours a

week, but the hard work is paying off! Congratulations Hannah!

SMMCS will again participate in All for Books!

All for Books is an easy and effective way to unite the school community and provide more books for kids and teachers. All funds collected through All for Books are used to buy more books from the Book Fair.

Funds can be used to:

•Give more students a chance to participate in the Book Fair.

•Add new books to the school library.

•Help teachers build and refresh their classroom libraries.

•Donate to another school or community organization in need of books.

Scholastic Book Fairs® then matches those monetary donations with a donation of up to $1 million in books from The Scholastic Possible Fund, which distributes books to children through organizations such as the Kids In Need Foundation, Reader to Reader, Inc., and the National Center for Families Learning.

By working together, we can help connect kids with more books than ever before.

Book Fair Money Denominations for each day next week:

Monday-Penny day!

Tuesday-Nickel day!

Wednesday-Dime day!

Thursday-Quarter day! And...Cinco de Mayo!

Friday-students may dress in their Tye-Dye shirts and their favorite pair of blue jeans! Any denomination day!

The class who collects the highest money amount in coins throughout the week will win a PIZZA and ICE CREAM PARTY!
