Este fin de semana y el próximo fin de semana, casi
150 niños recibirán su primera comunión. Por favor
oren por ellos. El día de la Primera Comunión
siempre es un día que nos da mucha inspiración
porque los niños se ven muy bonitos y la celebración
es muy festiva. Tambien porque el día que cualquier
persona recibe su Primera Comunión, es un día muy
alegre.
El fin de semana del Día de las Madres, la
comunidad Filipina llevará a cabo una procesión
para que los niños les ofrezcan flores a la Virgen
María. Gracias de antemano por su devoción.
Pronto me reuniré con un grupo de jóvenes de
nuestra parroquia para establecer un grupo de
oración para jóvenes. Todavía estamos en el proceso
de planeación, pero me alegra la respuesta de los
jóvenes. Proporcionaremos más información en las
próximas semanas.
Muchas gracias a Rosi Viquez y a todos los
catequistas que instruyen a los niños tan fielmente.
No es una tarea fácil. Ellos dan mucho de su

First communion
day is always an inspiring day because the kids look
so nice and the celebration is so festive. Also,
anytime anyone receives Jesus for the first time in
Holy Communion, it is always a joyous occasion.
On Mother’s Day, the Filipino community will be
having a procession of children with flowers for the
Blessed Virgin Mary. I thank them for their
devotion.
I am meeting with the young people of our parish to
establish a teen/youth prayer group. It is in the early
stages right now and we are in the process of
deciding how the group will function and when these
meetings will happen. I am gratified with the
response of the young people. More later as
information becomes available.
Many thanks to Rosi Viquez and all of our catechists
who teach the children so faithfully. It is not easy to
be a catechist. They give a lot of their time but they
get so much back in terms of teaching the next
generation of Catholic people. Would you like to be

Janice and her husband were both fighting
cancer when they came to one of Catholic
Charities food pantries. Since they could
not work, they needed help
feeding their daughter and
keeping their bodies
strong through proper nutrition.

the appropriate services that they needed
at a very difficult time in their life.

A little over a week ago, one of our newly planted
trees was run over by a truck. Every day, cars, buses
and trucks go through our parking lot, often at very
high dangerous rates of speed.
Because of the wear and tear on the parking lot, and
for security reasons, we have decided that we will
restrict traffic from driving through the parking lot to
and from the south entrance on Elmhurst to the north
entrance on Bode. The restriction will be in place
Monday through Friday.
For those Parishioners that need to enter the Parish
from Elmhurst, the parking lot adjacent to the garages
will be available for parking.
Hace unas semanas, uno de los árboles recién plantado fue destruído con llantas de un vehículo que
paso por el estacionamiento de nuestras instalaciones. Cada día, carros, camiones escolares y com‐
erciales, toman atajos por nuestro estacionamiento a velocidades peligrosas.
Debido al desgaste del estacionamiento a consecuencia de esta actividad, y por razones de seguri‐
dad, hemos decidido restringir el acceso al estacionamiento de la parte sur (Elmhust Lane) a la
entrada norte (Bode Road). Este acceso limitado al estacionamiento se observará solamente de
lunes a viernes.
Feligreses que visiten la Parroquia y por lo regular entran de la calle Elmhurst, tenemos un esta‐
cionamiento cercano a los garajes que se puede usar durante cualquier dia.

widows, widowers, or anyone else who has lost a significant
other, meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 7
P.M. at Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
Creo en un solo Dios, Padre todopoderoso,
Creador del Cielo y de la tierra, de todo lo visible
y lo invisible.
Creo en un solo Señor, Jesucristo, Hijo único de Dios,
nacido del Padre antes de todos los Siglos: Dios de Dios,
Luz de Luz, Dios verdadero de Dios verdadero,
engendrado no creado, de la misma naturaleza del Padre,
por quien todo fue hecho; que por nosotros, los hombres,
y por nuestra salvación bajó del cielo,
y por obra del Espíritu Santo se encarnó de María, la
Virgen,
y se hizo hombre;
y por nuestra causa fue crucificado en tiempos de Poncio
Pilato; padeció y fue sepultado, y resucitó al tercer día,
según las Escrituras,
y subió al cielo, y está sentado a la derecha del Padre;
y de nuevo vendrá con gloria para juzgar a vivos y muertos,
y su reino no tendrá fin.
Creo en el Espíritu Santo, Señor y dador de vida,
que procede del Padre y del Hijo,
que con el Padre y el Hijo recibe una misma adoración
y gloria, y que habló por los profetas.
Creo en la Iglesia, que es una, santa, católica y apostólica.
Confieso que hay un solo bautismo para el perdón
de los pecados.
Espero la resurrección de los muertos y la vida del mundo
futuro. Amén.
