OF THE LORD
The Ascension of the Lord, Ascension Thursday, is Thursday, May 30. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses will be celebrated: Wednesday, May 29 at 5:30 p.m. (Vigil in English) and 7:00 p.m. (Vigil in Spanish), Thursday, May 30 at: 6:30 and 7:30 a.m., 12:10 and 7:00 p.m. All the Masses will be celebrated in the main Church.
The paving project is being done in three phases. Phase One, which is completed, included re-pavement of the cemetery road, paving of the grassy area behind the Parish Center Gymnasium as well as some patchwork behind the Rectory and in front of the school building. The second phase, which we are in now, will create more parking in front of and behind the old convent building. The second phase is more intense as it involves changing the landscape. In The third phase, the entire lot will be resealed, after which it will be painted to define parking lanes. We are most grateful to parishioners who have paid their pledges or are making payments on their pledges. If you owe payments on a pledge, please do your best to send in your payments so that work can continue uninterrupted. If you have not made a pledge and wish to do so, you can contact us at 845-343-6013 for a pledge form, or pick one up at the side entrances of the Church. We apologize for our appearance and any inconvenience caused during this construction phase.

PERPETUAL ADORATION
St. Peter Julian Eymard, founder of the
Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, believed that
the closer someone was to Mary, the closer they were
drawn to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. As we close
out May, the month dedicated to Our Lady, let us ponder
these words of Eymard,
“Jesus has left us His Divine Mother to be the Mother and Model of Adorers … It was Mary who first adored the Incarnate Word. He was in her womb, and no one on
earth knew it. O how well was Our
Lord served in Mary’s womb! Never has He found a ciborium, a vase of
gold more precious, or more pure
than Mary’s womb. Mary’s adoration rejoiced Him more than
that of all the angels. ‘The Lord
hath placed His tabernacle in the
sun,’ says the Psalmist. That sun is
Mary’s heart … At Bethlehem, Mary was the first to adore her Divine Son lying in the crib.
She adored Him with the perfect love of a Virgin Mother.”
Follow the example of your Mother! Become a
Guardian of the Eucharist. Every hour of every day is
available to you. For more information, call Marty or
