Knights of Columbus Trinity Council #5467 To Sponsor 3
rd Annual “Coats for Kids” Program
The Trinity Council #5467 announces their 3rd annual “Coats for Kids” Program. The purpose of this coats initiative is designed to keep children warm in harsh winter climates. In 2015 the council distributed 36 coats and increased to 84 in 2016. This year our goal is 132+ coats.
Please contact Bob Ellis (203-393-0787) asap if you know of families with children who could benefit from receiving a new winter coat. The coats will be distributed between Nov. 1-Dec 15.
Each box of (12) coats cost $220. If you would like to make a donation, of any amount, to help purchase additional coats, please mail your check to the rectory office, payable to the “Trinity Council #5467”, at 81 Center Road, Woodbridge by Nov. 15 to assist us with our planning.
When families struggle to clothe their children with coats in the
winter, K of C councils help meet this basic need with the
“Coats for Kids” program. In 2016, 1,780 local councils distrib-
uted 87,906 coats. Since the program began in 2009, nearly
400,000 coats have been distributed in the United States and
Canada, including military bases, in Native American commu-
nities, in inner-city neighborhoods and through partnerships
with local police departments. Should you have any questions
you may also call our council number 203-242-0087.
