Acts 8:1-4 (ESV) “And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2 Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him. 3 But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison. 4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.” Many people from the early church were thrown into jail because of what they believed, but those who scattered talked about Jesus everywhere they went. If we are the Church, then that’s what we need to be doing—and most of us are not even going to get thrown into jail for it! Being the Church, the hands and feet of Jesus, outside the church is telling people about Jesus, and sharing with others what God is doing in your life. It’s inviting other people to church and helping your friends know and understand what it means to be a Christian. So go and scatter into your schools, among your friends, and at home with your families. Share who God is with anyone who’s willing to listen, because that is what the Church does. Mt 28:19-20 (ESV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Blessings, Chris

Claron Cole Memorial Fund: The Cole family has notified FCC that they wish Claron’s memorial fund to be used for equipping our new kitchen. God’s plan and timing are amazing, because this fund is sufficient to pay for the four major appliances we will need. Many of us fondly remember Claron’s devotion and service to the Lord here at FCC as an Elder, Trustee, teacher and friend. We do extend our appreciation and thanks to the Cole family for their remembering FCC in this way.

WE ARE IN NEED OF AUDIO / VISUAL VOLUNTEERS If you would be interested in helping with the audio or visual we have a few Sunday’s open. We need an audio person for the 4th Sunday of every month at 8:00 a.m. Worship Services and a visual person for the 1st Sunday of every month at the 10:30 am Worship Services. If you are interested, please check the flap located on the end of your church bulletin on Sunday or contact Jenna Wight (785-433-1319). If you have no experience…no worries,…it isn’t hard and they will train you. Thank you so much for volunteering. Jenna Wight
