Afghanistan has 48,000 mosques and not a single church building. Christians meet in secret, if they meet at all. No one is to be trusted, often not even a spouse, yet the Gospel is bearing fruit.

Many grains of sand make a beach. Metal in the dumpster down back, soda from the machine, returnable cans & bottles put in the trailer in the lefthand corner of the parking lot. They all add up to make ministry possible in many areas. A little here and a little there make the whole.

Looking Ahead Grinder Sale to benefit GriefShare and the Remembrance Garden on October 23 after 1st & 2nd services. Cost and details to follow.

The month of August was as full and active as the months of June and July. Camps were just coming one after the other. In the first days of August, the Israeli teen camp ended. Then four family camps took place, one after the other. Each of them had a different flavor and purpose. The purpose of the first one was to connect as a family, to connect with God, and to connect with people who don’t know Christ yet. On the very last day of the camp, the entire group organized an outreach in the city of Ostróda with different activities for families and people that were just resting by the lake. Another camp was organized with the goal of equipping and strengthening leaders of discipleship groups. Two more camps were prepared by churches that desired their people to get to know one another and strengthen their relationship with God. The very last camp was a camp for men from Germany. This group spent a week with us. Some of them are not church-goers so it was a wonderful possibility to share with them the Good News and about our ministry here at Ostróda Christian Camp. Now we can say it. The spring/summer season is over. During this time 1,109 people came to camp; and we organized and hosted thirteen 7-day camps during which the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s Word were proclaimed. We ministered to children, teens, families and even the older generation. The total number of people we ministered to is 1,369 people. 112 among them committed their lives to Christ or renewed their relationship with Christ. And it is not over. We are already switching gears, excited about a new ministry and ministering to …. But we will share it with you next time Andrzej & April Kortykowski, CFC supported missionaries in Poland

Barbecue/Concert This is a golden opportunity to invite friends and family to a low-key event. We begin at 3:00 for fellowship. Inflatables will be available for kids. We eat at 4:30. Bring a side dish or dessert Spend all or some of that time together.

Teen Choir resumes on TONIGHT. We meet weekly after the evening service, from 7:15 to 7:30. The choir sings during Teen Services, and the occasional Sunday Morning Special Music. Teen Choir is open to any 7th-12th Grader. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Laura Boyden at 860-617-5122, or email at [email protected]. Looking forward to a fun year filled with beautiful music!
