New Adult Faith Formation Class
"The Way of Christ" We encourage you to come grow in faith with us. After the 9:00am Holy Mass Fee: $25 Sunday, February 23 - Palm Sunday Sign up sheet in the Narthex. If Sunday is not a good day for you, please sign up and list the day and time that would work. We are open to starting groups at other times if we find enough interest.
SCHOLARSHIPS Attention High School Seniors!
CTK Scholarship Committee is pleased to accept applications for the following six $500 scholarships:
1. The Marvin E. and Genivieve F. Zoller Academic Scholarship 2. Our Lady of LaSalette Scholarship for Women 3. Deacon Dennis Gilchrist Scholarship for Men 4. Bishop Corada/Spirit of the Gospel Scholarship 5. Saint Mother Teresa Service Scholarship 6. Knights of Columbus Scholarship Applications can be picked up at the church office beginning February 11. Due by 5:00pm Thursday, April 23. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. All information is confidential. Academics, financial need, involvement in school, church and community are the various criteria used by the selection committee to determine scholarship recipients.
Women’s ACTS Retreat March 12-15, 2020 Sponsored by St. Matthews Catholic Church, Longview, TX. Where: Lone Star Retreat Grounds (Transportation furnished from St. Matthews to Lone Star and from Lone Star back to the church Sunday morning) Starting: 5:30 p.m., Thursday, March 12th at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Longview. Concludes: 10:30 a.m. with Mass at St. Matthews March 15, 2020, followed by a reception/lunch for Retreatants and their families. Applications with contact information are in the foyer of the church. ALTAR FLOWERS: If you would like to sponsor the weekly flowers on the altar as a memorial or healing of a
loved one, in honor of birthdays, grad-uations, weddings, anniversaries, etc., call the church office at 903-483-2500. Flowers are $50.
The Knights of Columbus are a group founded on the principal of charity by men of faith. Our main goals are to support our church and those in need. Our regular meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the parish offices. We invite you to join us. We need your help in becoming a thriving counsel, active in supporting the many great goals of the Knights of Columbus. Nov. 21 Priests’ Retreat From February 17 through February 21, the priests of
the Diocese will be on retreat together. Therefore, there will be no confessions available from Monday, Feb-ruary 17 to Friday, February 21. Any regularly scheduled Masses during that time will
be communion services. Please pray for our priests as
they take this time to be away with our Lord.
