Carried throughout the continent by an incredibly dynamic youth, turned towards innovation and aware of the great global issues, Africa deserves all our attention.
The city of Nice is honoured to host the Choiseul Africa Business Forum, a unique platform known for the quality of the meetings it can offer to economic players and the deciders from both coasts of the Mediterranean, Europe and Africa.
A historical crossroads between cultures and civilizations, Nice and its metropolis are a natural window open on Africa, drawing on ambitious cooperation with our partner cities such as Sousse and Abidjan or more widely in the context of the Euromed cities network that I preside over since 2017.
Jointly with the municipal council, I would like to warmly welcome all the participants to the first edition of the Choiseul Africa Business Forum in Nice and hope that the wealth of our exchanges may allow for future business opportunities between our regions to see the light. I am delighted that the young entrepreneurs that have been selected in the Choiseul 100 Africa, having come from the whole Africa, are taking central stage.
Christian EstrosiMayor of NicePresident of MétropolePrésident delegate of the Région Sud-Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur [email protected]
Ambition, audacity, excellence. Now more than ever, these words preside over the actions of African and European leaders that the Institut Choiseul has gathered together for the first edition of the Choiseul Africa Business Forum.
Friendship between Africa and Europe was forged by their past and their brotherhood will be realized by their future, thanks to this cultural proximity from which we are yet to make the most of, and to the synergies that we are yet to jointly develop. That is the ambition of this great forum!
The Institut Choiseul is honoured to contribute to this bridge across the Mediterranean in the wonderful city of Nice, a contact point between these two great lands of opportunity that has become, for the time of an event, the economic capital
of Afro-European dialogue.
This event is the extension of the Institut’s activity in favour of new forms of economic cooperation with Africa and of the showcasing, through the Choiseul 100 Africa, of its most talented young leaders.
Because our futures are inextricably intertwined, and because they are written starting today at the Choiseul Africa Business Forum, I wish a warm welcome to all our friends and participants, who are the builders of this new era of exchange that lies ahead.

Nice Éco-Vallée, A unique development area in the heart of the Metropolis
These operations, that we are actively developing, are designed to meet the needs of businesses, inhabitants, and of wealth- and job-creating ecosystems (institutes of higher learning, research, R&D centres…); they distinguish themselves by their functional, social and generational diversity. Great facilities scattered across the valley complete these projects: an exhibition centre, multimodal exchange
poles designed to ease commute and transportation, all of it connected to a tramway that links the Éco-Vallée to the Nice Côte d’Azur international airport and to the historical centre in just a few minutes.
An overview of the Nice Éco-Vallée (the largest National Interest Operation in France, spread across 10,000 hectares), is brought to you by the Office of Public Development, through scale models of the valley but also on site in proximity to its two main urban projects: the Grand Arénas, an international business district close to the Nice Côte d’Azur international airport, and the Nice Méridia, an urban technopole, a place of innovation, work and life. The environmental exemplarity, quality and innovation that are at the heart of our operations, drive us to create a new growth paradigm that brings together the economy, the environment and quality of life.
