August was an interesting month for Music Matters Inclusive Community Choir! We learned some new songs, including A Spoonful of Sugar and Chim Chim Cheree fromMary Poppins, and we are spicing up some old favouriteslike True Colours by putting inharmonies and dynamics (louds and softs)

The Secret Millionaire!!July was a very exciting time for Music Matters as we were askedto participate in an RTE documentary about positive community projects.

As it turned out, we were really being filmed for The Secret Millionaire

We got a very pleasant surprise when our special guest visitor,Margaret Farrelly who is the Managing Director ofClonarn Clover Eggsin Co. Cavan, made an egg-cellent (pardon the pun!) donation to our choir!

Tune into RTE 1 on Monday 16th

September at 9.35 PM, for our TV debut!

    Sing-a-Thon

On Sunday 18th August, our choir had a Sponsored Singing Event called Sing-a-Thon at TheBeerhouse, Capel St, Dublin 1. Choir members got sponsorship cards and all worked very hardto get family, friends, neighbours and their communities to sponsor them to sing on the day.

Thank you to everyone for all your generous donations! We raised a massive 600!!

There was a marathon SIX hours of entertainment! Choir members sang as part of a group,

and some people also did song, dance and instrumental solos. We would also like to thank theGuest Musicians who were a huge part of our celebration: Jennifer Sullivan, Jack ?, Rebeccaand Hazel from A FistFull of Oranges, Vanessa Godwin and Georgia OCallaghan

We would also like to thank these businesseswhich sponsored raffle prizes:Sab Inn Caf, Crunch Caf, Cyclebike, C & M

Meats, Rima Malukaite Photography, AmarettoCrafts (which is Danielle Friels new business Danielle also kindly volunteered to paint facesand ARMS! on the day) and some of our ownchoir members who also made donations
