ATS 2016 PROGRAM

On behalf of Vietnam Association of Endolaparoscopic Surgeons (VAES), Vietnam Society of Surgery (VSS) and Viet Duc University Hospital, I would like to welcome you all to Congress of VSS and VAES organized in conjunction with the 10th Asia Telemedicine Symposium (ATS) in Hanoi, the city for peace where culture and tradition are well reserved through thousand years.

This is the first time the Asia Telemedicine Symposium is held in Vietnam. The great contribution that ATS have brought to medical science and practice is undeniable. ATS has become the most expected annual event for Asian experts to gasp the latest progress and technique, to share expenience, to find ways to deal with future tasks.

Although Vietnam is a developing country, telemedicine has been applied increasingly and widely in our healthcare system. However, as other Asian countries in Asia, we have faced challenges due to the financial difficulty, the backward technology system and the difficulty in reaching remote areas of our country, that why we chose the theme for the

th10 ATS is “Telemedicine in Developing Countries”. We believe that experience in field of friends from all over the Asia can help us improve the quality of healthcare service with limited resources.
