Journalism Studies MA
This MA course in Journalism Studies aims to develop postgraduates who can critically explore the ways in which journalism and the news industries
operate and influence society at large.
There is a focus on how new media forms and practices are facilitating a transformational shift in news and journalism, with a particular interest in the
impact of the internet on journalism practices and news economics.

MA Multimedia Journalism
Convergence defines this award-winning journalism
course – the first in the UK to explore the full potential of multi-platform news publishing. It is accredited by the
Broadcast Journalism Training Council. With their full multi-skilling, graduates of this course can
cover any news or feature story for the web, for television, and for radio. They can easily take a story from one
medium and transfer it into another – television to radio – radio to online text.

MA Literary Media enables students to combine the skills of literary analysis developed during an undergraduate degree with a series of new theoretical
and methodological approaches to the study of English in a range of different media.
It invites students to explore the proposition that literature exists in a number of different forms, from film

MA Adaptation is a unique opportunity to study this emerging field (which cuts across disciplines such as
Cultural Studies, English, Film Studies, Media and Communication) at Master’s level.
The course looks at the creative process of moving between different art forms or media and enables you to
develop your skills in analysing that process. It combines literary analysis with cultural criticism, creative writing and
new media storytelling with a modern and contemporary focus.
