ANNOUNCEMENTS CONTINUED...
NURSERY CARE: Today we offer nursery care (infants - 3 year olds) during the C2 and Sanctuary worship services. Parents are asked to bring their children to the 2nd floor of our Education Building prior to service. Infants - 23 months meet in Rm. 221, and toddlers (2 - 3 year olds) meet in Rm. 222.
ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOLERS: 6th through 8th grade students are invited to go to the Loft for Middle School Sunday School.
YOUTH (6TH - 12TH GRADE) / PARENT MEETING SCHEDULED: We are making exciting plans for the 2018 - 2019 Youth Calendar! Parents, you are invited to an informational meeting and breakfast after church (11:30 a.m.) TODAY in Community Hall. Please join Elizabeth Hipp and Doug Johnson, Ministry Associates for Emerging Generations, to hear all about our Youth Ministry plans, trips, and expectations. MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH, MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Our Youth Group begins this Wednesday, August 22nd. We will meet from 5:00 – 7:00p.m. Join us to kick-off the new school year! Remember you can always bring a friend. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SMALL GROUP: The H.S. Girl’s Small Group meeting will be held this Thursday, August 23rd, for a Girl’s Night Out! Meet Elizabeth Hipp at Berry Bon Bon, 5240 U.S. Highway 1 at 6:16 p.m.. The group will meet every month at a different venue. HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SMALL GROUP: The H.S. Boy’s Small Group meeting will be this Tuesday, August 21st from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Join Dan Lamson in Commotion for a Video Game Night!
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT EVENT SCHEDULED: Next Sunday, August 26th our High School Students will be
going to Rapids Waterpark. The cost is $33.00 per person. The group will leave the church grounds at 12:00(noon).

service in Community Hall. All are welcome.
CALLING ALL GREETERS: A Big Thank You to The Cetrulo Family, Sally Hubbard, Roxanne Wilcox, and Sharon Ziemann, for welcoming everyone on Sunday! Please help us with greeting our congregation as they enter on Sunday morning. There is nothing more welcoming than a smiling face and a friendly “hello!” Arrive 30 minutes before the service, stand at your appointed door, and help people feel welcome. Jonathan Clement, who died on July 31st. A memorial service was held in the Sanctuary on August 18th. Charles Wurmstedt, who died on August 12th. A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on September 2nd,

Exodus 3:1-6
Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led his flock beyond the wilderness, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed. Then Moses said, ‘I must turn aside and look at this great sight and see why the bush is not burned up.’ When the LORD saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, ‘Moses, Moses!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ Then he said, ‘Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’ He said further, ‘I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar; the God of Isaac and Rebecca; and the God of Jacob, Rachel and Leah.’ And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

They brought to him a deaf man who had an impediment in his speech; and they begged him to lay his hand on him. He took him aside in private, away from the crowd, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue. Then looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, ‘Ephphatha’, that is, ‘Be opened.’ And immediately his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly. Then Jesus ordered them to tell no one; but the more he ordered them, the more zealously they proclaimed it. They were astounded beyond measure, saying, ‘He has done everything well; he even makes the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.’
