This is my first video exercise: writing and filming a short story which is characterised by a subtext where something happens.I decided to illustrate the strange habits of a peculiar boy: Fabian.In the video, we see the protagonist picking up leaves and measuring it. When satisfied, he comes back home and eats them.The video has no audio, because the composition and the editing were the main focuses.

“A lonely Valentine’s day” is a video which tells you the story of a strong, young girl. She is fed up with her col-legues, perpetually showing her their rings. That is why she decides that she doesn’t need a lover in orderto have a ring. The ingredients for a ring are simple: silver, copper, and coffee, to fuel her up.She goes quickly to the jewellery workshop and star-ts manifacturing the ring: and voilà! Guess what? it fits.

Otto der Chameleon is an animation created by my group team. The work is in collaboration with Kin-derdorf from Brixen, a structure which helps children and families in difficulties. In particular we focused on music theraphy.After a chat with the therapist who is responsible of the course, we discovered that music theraphy is not about learning a particular instrument, but being guided towards a cooperation through the use of sounds. Our animation tells the story of a chamaele-on who does not manage change colour as the others do. He encounters some instruments in his way, and touching them make him coulour suddently: at first he is scared, but then he enjoys his ability.He then meets a kind turtle, who gives him a piano and a trumpet, and start playing together, happily.The metaphore of discomfort is silence and the in-capacity of colour.The turtle here is the figure of the therapist, who help the child by offering him another way of expressing himself.

“Festival delle Resistenze” is an event which takes place every year in Bolzano: it is a chance of exchan-ge and collective reflection.2017 edition dealt with the theme “identity and bor-ders”. Together with two collegues we created the image of the festival. Our choice was using a simple painted hand: in fact, not only it is the symbol of identity, but also of borders, since we underlined the natural borders that it has throu-gh “regions” of colour. The image was then used in advertisement, postcards, posters and the website of the festival.

New L(OCA)L? is an interpretation of the classic game of the goose, which tells a different story: the lives of new locals. Every box is thought and realised in a participative way during two workshops, where different kinds of citizen of Bolzano shared their own experience and ideas. How is it to live in the city for the ones who were not born or raised here? With this game we wanted to answer these questions, and offer a place where we could talk about immigration, inte-gration and the unknown aspect of living in Bolzano.The outputs were two: a physical game and a paper one.The physical one was made out of cardboard, handpainted in black during the workshops and then used for two events, where we played all together. On the back you can find the instructions: we wanted to maintain an “open” caracter to the game, explaining how we created the boxes. In this way, anyone can make its own game, organising its own workshop, interviewing or simply reflecting on the theme. Our game is now available and downloadable as an opensource on our website.

New Local is a concept which embraces a vaste num-ber of people: the ones who live in a city where they were not born. They are immigrants, refugees, but also tourists, workers, students. With this flag I wan-ted to underline the two aspects of the definition: being “new” and, at the same time, “local”.Everything started with a foot, something which roots in the territory. The foot starts evolving: new branches and leaves start growing. A metamorphosis takes place, like the one which the city of Bolzano is living. Here the tree crown becomes symbol of social renovation, of change.That is how I like to think about New Local: from tradition grows something new, different.

Femininity is a concept which refers to all the beha-viours, gestures, inclinations which are traditionally linked to the feminine gender. The common elemen-ts which are more often connected to femininity are gentleness, empathy and sensitivity, and are conveyed not only through behaviour and mannerism, but sty-le too. These traits commonly manifest also in men, under the phaenomenon called effeminacy.Femininity in men has always been seen however as something inacceptable in the society and mainly re-lated to a specific sexual orientation.My project is about studying feminine behaviours of men through gestures, details, situations of everyday life. The normality in the gestures represented raise questions about the way we perceive gender differen-ces nowadays. In the end, does femininity really mat-ter? As Simone de Beauvoir said, if today femininity no longer exists, then it never existed.

This is a series of posters from the Winter Semester 2017. The first assignment is a film poster for Hitchcock’s Rear Window. The overlap of the protagonist’s por-traits wants to show the double nature of the cha-racter: the one that spies without ethics, and the one that denounces crimes.The second assignment is a series of three, fictional conference posters. In this case, I overlapped a sym-bol, which results as a sort stamp, with an image from the web. This creates a new meaning and underlines a certain critical outlook on the three main topics.The third assignment is about taking care of icono-graphic memory. The posters were designed for the Digital Museum of Planetary Mapping, which is an important archive of maps. The images from the website communicate with the slogan Take care of the gaze on the other worlds, highlighting the impor-tance of the archive and at the same time criticizing the human-centered point of view.

The project aims at telling, through the metaphor of circus, joy and pain in the life of us young adults. The crisis of authority, of models and values provokes in my generation feelings such as apathy, resignation and lack of fascination, yet the will of strength and lightness.Identity, education, career, technology, relationships and pop culture will be tackled through a compari-son with the circus disciplines.Who are we? What defines us? What are our pas-sions? How do we face past, present and future? The final output, in the form of graphic novel, descri-bes in every chapter a different aspect of the scenario, where elements of reality and dream interweave in the narration, walking us through the journey of the protagonist.

“Come on kids! alla Triennale” is an event which is part of the research project of the professor Giorgio Camuffo.In particular, this edition took place at the Trienna-le in Milano.The event consisted in different work-shops for children and a playground with the so cal-led “drawing machines”.I designed the illustrations for the communication of the event, that than my collegues Martina Soffritti and Beatrice Cera used for posters, badges and gifs.In addition, I collected some illustrations in a colour-book, a gift to the children who partecipated in the event.

Together with the colleague Chiara Zardi, we de-signed a website to provide useful links and tips to the next generations of students in the Facul-ty of Design and Art. This website was created to guide them in their first steps into the Design Cur-riculum and give lots of other information for a perfect start into your WUP (Warm-up semester). We decided to approach the new studen-ts with a witty and simple style, with hand-drawn illustrations and simple GIF animations. The main issues covered were laptops for design, re-quired working tools, reading material and software video tutorials.

2016 - 2017

Sustainability festival is an event which takes place since three years at the Free University of Bozen-Bol-zano. It is an opportunity of dialogue, of learning and sharing new, fresh ideas about sustainability, ecology and more. For the last two years I partecipated in the design team. In the 2017 edition I designed the portraits of the lecturers for the istantbook, a book which is manifactured during the days of the festival.Since the edition 2018 is coming, me and my col-legues Lara Ricci and Lucia Rose Buffa designed posters and gifs for the recruitment. Moreover, we created some other content for the festival, like the booklet for the sponsor: in particular, I designed a little map of Bolzano.

Collective book and exhibition for the Venetian foundation “Querini Stampalia”.Giovanni Querini, the founder, is portrayed as an il-luminated man. The illustrations play with objects and places of his life: his bust, his books, his bedro-om, his terrace, his library.These elements are underlined by a ray of light, whi-ch metaphorically represents the curiosity and sharp-ness of Querini.
