Welcome to the second newsletter for your area, produced by Rushmoor Borough Council with the support

of local partners, working in your neighbourhood.

We’ve been doing lots with residents and partners over the last three years to improve your neighbourhood, after recognising that some areas need a bit of extra support. Housing associations, voluntary organisations, Safer Neighbourhood teams and Rushmoor Borough Council staff have been working in the area contributing towards the Cherrywood Plan- a three-year action plan to improve your neighbourhood.

The focus of this newsletter is skills and employment. If you would like to learn new skills, change jobs or perhaps need help in applying for work, we hope this edition will help you to take action - see middle pages for more information.

As the long summer holidays are approaching, there is information for families about what you can do to help occupy your time, especially children, to make sure they have local activities which are enjoyable, active and positive.

If you have an idea about what you would like to see in the next newsletter or to give any feedback, please email - [email protected] . You may like to share a recipe, provide a money-saving tip, or just want to suggest an article – don’t hesitate, email today!
