Since 2010, Cherry Creek students have partnered with the Colorado Make a Wish Foundation to assist a child with a life threatening illness by raising the funds necce-sary to grant a special wish. This six year tradition has benefited over 20 children and their families. During past Wish Weeks, $107,000 was collected. The support of our Cherry Creek Community allows the sponsored child to create memories of hope, strength and joy with their famillies.
This year CCHS is sponsoring Preston who would like to take a Carribean cruise with his family. Preston is a 12 year old boy battling an autoimmune disease. In order to help fulfill Preston’s wish, we are asking the Cher-ry Creek Community to consider supporting our Wish Week. Any level of generosity will ensure that we can make a positive impact in Preston’s life. This year CCHS will also support the Gabby Krause Foundation who creates “Bags of Fun,” for children receiving treatments at local hospitals.

Chris Gish, Class of 1998Founder, Seeds of Change
After surviving a terrible accident, Chris Gish had a great deal of time to consider his life. He became consumed with the notion that if he could regain his health and mobility he should devote himself to the service of others. He founded the non-profit orga-nization, “Seeds of Change.” Chris believes that through the pro-motion of sustainable technologies, educational development and environmental reform significant change can take place. Working with countries that are struggling with social and environmental conflict, Seeds of Change seeks to bridge the gap between prob-lems devastating local communities and sources of practical long-term solutions. By promoting sustainability and education, Seeds of Change seeks to spark social progress for stagnated societies in dire need of positive change.
CCHS recently partnered with Chris to benefit “Seeds of Change” and he spoke to students during Global Awarenss Day.
