Behavior/Qualities of a Ridge
Cheerleader
• Cheerleaders are expected to be good
ambassadors for Ridge Junior School
• We feel strongly that cheerleaders should
represent the school in a positive manner both
academically and socially.
• Failure to do so will result in being
benched or dismissed from the squad
Time Commitment
• Attendance is mandatory
– practices AND games
• If there is a situation where your daughter
must be absent, we need a note or email
in advance although she may still have to
sit for a quarter or more
• Please schedule doctor appointments
around cheer practice if possible
Summer Practices
• Mandatory (vacations will be excused)
• Beginning May 31st through July 28th
practices will be on Wednesdays from
4:30-6:30 P.M.
• Starting July 31st practices will be twice a
week from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
Season Practices
• Practices will be twice a week until the game
season begins on Mondays and Wednesdays.
• Practices will be from 2:15 – 3:45, but may end
earlier as the season continues.
• If needed, we will add more practices before the
games begins.
• Girls need to practice at home using the
YouTube links we provide them. If they are not
up to par, they may sit at the games until
chants are memorized.
