WritingI’ve been a freelance copywriter since 2011. I have professional experience writing blogs, press articles and social media, through to outdoor advertising, corporate communications, direct mail campaigns and a wide range of digital copy. June 2008 – Nov 2008Series Researcher – The Moral Maze, BBC Radio 4I developed and originated ideas for this live, topical debate programme and found all studio guests - meeting tight deadlines and responding to breaking news fast.
April 2008 – June 2008ITV Specialist Factual and Arts: Series Researcher I was series researcher for Faith in the Frame – a 10-part television art series. I was responsible for briefing the presenter, Melvyn Bragg, on the featured paintings and celebrity contributors. I also co-produced ten short films to open each episode.
May 2004 – April 2008BBC Religion and Ethics: Researcher (initially junior researcher/broadcast assistant)I researched a broad range of live programmes and documentaries for television and radio on subjects ranging from The Reformation to the writing scene in post-war Sierra Leone to the Football Association. One of my editions of Beyond Belief won a Gold Sony Award for Best Speech Programme.
