The TYLER FAMILY

OF ANDOVER

Job Tyler, born about 1619, was ilrobably the son of widow, Joanna

Ttler,of Portsmouth, R.I., who is recorded as being a property holder

there,in 1639.

Job~s early wanderings are unrecorded, but the f~rst comers to

ANDOVER, found him here, in 1640, a squatter in the Boxford section,

with a hom.e in vrhat is nmv the driveway of the old Wood's estate.

Job's wife, hlary-- , whose ancestry is unknown, was doubtless

with him at the time, as their oldest child, Moses (2) was born

about 1642.

In volume 2, page 58 of Essex Ct. deeds, is the folloVling:-
