January 2 2020
From the Director’s Chair Ed & Jeanette Carr, FL1-K Senior Chapter Directors
Now, Where Did I Put Those Keys?
They found a diagnosis for my condition. Hooray!! I have been diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. “Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder…. This is how it goes? I decide to wash the car, I start toward the garage and notice the mail on the table. OK, I’m going to wash the car. But first, I’m going to go through the mail. I lay the car keys down on the desk, discard the junk mail and I notice the trash is full. Alright, I’ll just put the bills on my desk and take the trash can out, but since I’m going to be near the mailbox anyway, I’ll pay these few bills first.
Now, where is my checkbook? Oops, there’s only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk. Oh, there’s the Coke I was drinking. I’m going to look for those checks. But, first I need to put my Coke further away from the computer, oh maybe I’ll pop it into the fridge for a while to keep it cold. I head towards the kitchen and the flowers catch my eye. They need some water.
I set the Coke on the counter and uh oh? There are my glasses. I was looking for them all morning. I’d better put them away first. I fill a container with water and head for the flowerpots - - Aaaaagh! Someone left the TV remote in the kitchen. We’ll never think to look in the kitchen tonight when we want it. I’ll put it in the family room where it belongs. I splash some water into the pots and onto the floor. I throw the remote onto a soft cushion on the sofa and I head back down the hall trying to figure out what it was I was going to do.
End of Day: The car isn’t washed, the bills are unpaid, the Coke is sitting on the kitchen counter, the flowers are half watered, the checkbook still only has one check in it and I can’t seem to find my car keys! When I try to figure out how come nothing got done today, I’m baffled because I KNOW I WAS BUSY ALL-DAY LONG!!! I realize this is a serious condition and I’ll get help. BUT FIRST I think I’ll check my e-mail…. And therefore there is no article from Ed this month. (Original Author Unknown)
But, before I forget, Congratulations to RockNBob & Lorraine Inginito, who were recognized as Chapter FL1-K Couple of the Year, at the Chapter Christmas party on the 14th of December 2019. What a blast we had. I THINK.
We hope you have made plans to attend the 41st Annual Florida District Gathering of the Wings, March 19, 20 & 21st, 2020, at the Altamonte Springs Hilton. Shenanigans at the Florida District Rally. Information about Hotel and Rally registration are on the District Website @ gwrraflorida.com.
We hope to see you at a GWRRA event in 2020,

Couple of the Year
We in Chapter FL1-K are so fortunate to be represented by Rockin' Bob and Rainie Ingenito as Chapter Couple of the Year.
This couple has been on the ride committee for years. They sell 50/50 tick-ets at our chapter gatherings, they are always available to help their fellow/sister chapter members in any way needed and they ride. Bob and Rainie
show up at every planned ride, Kick Tire and lotto dinner.
Bob accompanied Ed and Jeanette to the Georgia Rally this past autumn even though his spine was closing in on nerves running down his legs.
On December 26th, Bob underwent spinal surgery and we all are looking forward to seeing him and Rainie on their Wing again this spring.
We are so proud of our new COY and wish them many, many more Winging miles.

Wing Ding 42
2020 brings exciting Wing Ding news! The venue will be Springfield, Missouri, June 30-July 4. Springfield claims it is the birthplace of Route 66. Live the era and visit the cool towns along the way to experience those bygone days! The city boasts scenic routes through the Ozarks. Springfield was founded in 1835 and incorpo-rated three years later, the city itself is rich in history. Downtown Springfield will provide education and enter-tainment for hours. It was the site of a Civil War battle and the second major battle of the war took place just southwest of the city where Wilson's Creek National Battlefield stands today. Other points of interest include the unique History of Hearing Museum, Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, The Missouri Institute of Natural Sci-ence, and the Railroad Historical Museum. You don't want to miss the classic autos at The Route 66 Car Mu-seum (66carmuseum.com). To extend your Missouri stay, why not extend your vacation to Branson? Its only 44 miles to enjoy the best family shows!
As your Chapter K Wing Ding Coordinator, I have reserved a few rooms at both the headquartered University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center and The Q Hotel down the street. Both rates for the Wing Ding are $114/night. Breakfast is offered at the Q Hotel but not at The University Plaza. Both hotels have pools. I also have information on campsites nearby and a visitors guide. Please see your Wing World Magazine for added infor-mation. Please let me know if I can assist you in your reservations.

Rock’N Bob & Rainie Ingenito
Our new Couple of the Year retired to
Florida and joined FL1-K after being
GWRRA members in New Jersey. Away
from the cold weather (which they rode
in), they were ready to ride – ride – ride.
But they also used 4-wheels when needed
or just for convenience. To increase their
riding experiences, they also rode with
FL1-H and FL1-X. Their gold bike with
its “distinctive sound” drew attention at
Chapter visitations and Chapter/District/International Rallies. They were just ready to be active, socialize,
and attend as many activities/events as possible.
Bob has become the chapter tail gunner on rides and he even helped at the Georgia Ride-IN which he said
“was the greatest experience” in the hills of northern Georgia. He and Rainie are always a friendly face at
Chapter Gatherings when they visit everyone and sell 50/50 tickets.
Bob’s sense of humor and Rainie’s sweet smile along with their caring/helpful nature and interest in others is
a blessing to all they touch.
Bob had back surgery December 26 and it will be a long road to recovery but we all look forward to when they can join us again. Meanwhile, we all will continue to visit them (hopefully soon at home instead of
hospital/rehab) to help the healing time go faster.
Ride Safe. Hug your Friends. Enjoy Life.

District
Ride Educators
If I only knew how to sing I would break out in happy song but…… that’s not going to happen, sorry. I don’t
want to hurt anyone’s ears. So, I’ll just wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very, very Happy New
Year! I trust you will have a safe, joyous and blessed holiday season!
On Thursday, December 5th there were a group of folks that came together from the Ft Myers and surrounding
chapters, that worked together to clean off the range and helped Denis Turcotte and me paint it for the TRC
class as well as an ARC class.
We now have it ready to accommodate ARC classes. I am in the process of getting another ARC Instructor to
assist Ray Vega to conduct the ARC classes there. As soon as we get a date set for the class it will be posted
on the district website as well as notifying each chapter in the area. Please be patient. It is coming.
Pam and I had a surprise visit from our grandson this past week. He is home on leave from the Navy for 14
days. Not only a surprise for us but he didn’t tell his mother and we dropped him off at her front door. I
thought she was going to kill me. LOL She knew nothing at all about him coming for Christmas. SUR-
PRISE!!
Pam and I do a charity thing every year at this time, we ring the bells for the Salvation Army. It’s just the
thing we do. While doing it we see some sights as you can well imagine. Some of the worst are the traffic is-
sues. People are not paying attention to their driving. There are so many distractions right now due to all the
different Christmas displays, peoples costumes, parades, etc. It is a dangerous time to be out on the roads.
Especially for motorcycles! If you are out on your great steed please be extra diligent. Be ever alert! Put
your head on a swivel like you never have ever before. Spin it 360. They are not looking out for you so look
out for them!
If you want to go out and look at the beautiful Christmas lights please relax and take your four wheeler. Pick
a designated driver and switch off so all can see and all are safe. Common sense is the rule. Most of all, be
safe and enjoy!
And something that may be furthest from your mind are those raffle tickets but, hey, they could be good stock-
ing stuffers! Might make a gift to mail to friends? Okay, I’m just trying to help. Yes, I do have a few thou-
sand left to get out before the rally. So, if your chapter needs some please let me know and I’ll get them to
you.
So hard to believe the Chapter Conference is staring us in the face. Right after Shrimp ‘R’ Us on Jan 1 then
the Conference on Jan 11, 12. WOW, right around the corner. Well, I hope to see many of you there! Until
then please remember to
