PROTOCOL AMENDING THE INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT FOR THE SUPPRESSIONOF THE WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC, SIGNED AT PARIS ON 18 MAY 1904, AND THE

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE SUPPRESSION OF THE WHITE SLAVEb A s TRAFFIC, SIGNED AT PARIS ON 4 MAY 1910

The Parties to the present Protocol, consider-ing that under the International Agreement forthe Suppression of the White Slave Traffic, signedat Paris on 18 May 1904, and the InternationalConvention for the Suppression of the WhiteSlave Traffic, signed at Paris on 4 May 1910, theGovernment of .the French Republic was investedwith certain functions; considering that the saidGovernment has offered to transfer to the UnitedNations the functions exercised by it under theabove-mentioned agreements; and consideringthat it is expedient that these functions shouldbe assumed henceforth by the United Nations;hereby agree as follows :

ARTICLE 1

The Parties to the present Protocol undertakethat as between themselves they will, each inrespect of the instruments to which it is a Partyand in accordance with the provisions of thepresent Protocol, attribute full legal force andeffect to, and duly apply, the amendments tothose instruments which are set forth in theannex to the present Protocol.

ARTICLE 2

The Secretary-General shall prepare the textsof the International Agreement of 18 May 1904for the Suppression of the White Slave Trafficand of the International Convention of 4 May1910 for the Suppression of the White SlaveTraffic, as revised in accordance with the presentProtocol, and shall send copies for their informa-tion to the Governments of every Member of theUnited Nations and every non-member State towhich this Protocol is open for signature or ac-ceptance. He shall also invite Parties to any ofthe instruments to be amended by the present

Protocol to apply the amended texts of thoseinstruments as soon as the amendments are inforce, even if they have not yet been able tobecome Parties to the present Protocol.

ARTICLE 3

The present Protocol shall be open for signa-ture or acceptance by any of the Parties to theInternational Agreement of 18 May 1904 for theSuppression of the White Slave Traffic or to theInternational Convention of 4 May 1910 for theSuppression of the White Slave Traffic, to whichthe Secretary-General has communicated for thispurpose a copy of the present Protocol.

ARTICLE 4

States may become Parties to the presentProtocol by:

(¿г) Signature without reservation as toacceptance;

(6) Signature with reservation as to ac-ceptance, followed by acceptance;

(c) Acceptance.Acceptance shall be effected by the deposit of

a formal instrument with the Secretary-Generalof the United Nations.

ARTICLE 5

The present Protocol shall come into forceon the date on which two or more States shallhave become Parties thereto.

The amendments set forth in the annex to thepresent Protocol shall come into force in respectof the International Agreement of 18 May 1904for the Suppression of the White Slave Trafficwhen twenty Parties thereto shall have becomeParties to the present Protocol; and in respect of

the International Convention of 4 May 1910 forthe Suppression of the White Slave Traffic whentwenty Parties thereto shall have become Partiesto the present Protocol; and, consequently, anyState becoming a Party to the Agreement or tothe Convention after the amendments theretohave come into force shall become a Party tothe Agreement or to the Convention as soamended.

ARTICLE 6

Upon the entry into force of the amendmentsset forth in the annex to the present Protocoland concerning either the Agreement or theConvention, the French Government shall de-posit with the Secretary-General of the UnitedNations the original of that of the two agreementsto which the aforesaid amendments relate, to-gether with the various documents which werein its custody by virtue of the functions whichit exercised.

ARTICLE 7

In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 102of the Charter of the United Nations and the reg-ulations pursuant thereto adopted by the GeneralAssembly, the Secretary-General of the UnitedNations is authorized to effect registration of thepresent Protocol and the amendments made inthe Agreement and Convention by the present

Protocol on the respective dates of their entryinto force, and to publish the Protocol and theamended Agreement and Convention as soon aspossible after registration.

ARTICLE 8

The present Protocol, of which the Chinese,English, French, Russian and Spanish texts areequally authentic, shall be deposited in thearchives of the United Nations Secretariat. TheAgreement and the Convention to be amended inaccordance with the annex being in the Frenchlanguage only, the French text of the annex shallbe authentic and the Chinese, English, Russianand Spanish texts shall be translations. A certi-fied copy of the Protocol, including the annex,shall be sent by the Secretary-General to eachof the Parties to the International Agreement of18 May 1904 for the Suppression of the WhiteSlave Traffic or to the International Conventionof 4 May 1910 for the Suppression of the WhiteSlave Traffic, as well as to all Members of theUnited Nations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the undersigned, beingduly authorized thereto by their respective Gov-ernments, signed the present Protocol on the dateappearing opposite their respective signatures.

Les Etats Parties au présent Protocole, con-sidérant qu'en vertu de l'Arrangement interna-tional en vue d'assurer une protection efficacecontre le trafic criminel connu sous le nom detraite des blanches, signé à Paris le 18 mai 1904,et de la Convention internationale relative à larépression de la traite des blanches, signée àParis le 4 mai 1910, le Gouvernement de laRépublique française était investi de certainesfonctions; considérant que ledit Gouvernementa spontanément offert de transférer à l'Organi-sation des Nations Unies les fonctions qu'ilexerce en vertu des accords susmentionnés; etconsidérant qu'il est opportun qu'elles soientassumées désormais par l'Organisation des Na-tions Unies, sont convenus des dispositionssuivantes:

ARTICLE PREMIER

Les Etats Parties au présent Protocole pren-nent l'engagement qu'entre eux-mêmes, chacunen ce qui concerne les instruments auxquels ilest Partie, et conformément aux dispositions duprésent Protocole, ils attribueront plein effetjuridique aux amendements à ces instrumentscontenus dans l'Annexe au présent Protocole, lesmettront en vigueur et en assureront l'application.

ARTICLE 2

Le Secrétaire général préparera les textes del'Arrangement international en vue d'assurerune protection efficace contre le trafic criminelconnu sous le nom de traite des blanches du 18mai 1904, et de la Convention internationalerelative à la répression de la traite des blanchesdu 4 mai 1910, revisés conformément au présent

Protocole et en transmettra, à titre d'information,des copies au Gouvernement de chaque EtatMembre de l'Organisation des Nations Unies,ainsi qu'au Gouvernement de chaque Etat nonmembre à la signature ou à l'acceptation duquelle présent Protocole est ouvert. Il invitera égale-ment les Etats Parties à l'un quelconque desinstruments susmentionnés à appliquer le texteamendé de ce ou ces instruments dès l'entrée envigueur des amendements, même s'ils n'ont pasencore pu devenir Parties au présent Protocole.

ARTICLE 3

Le présent Protocole sera ouvert à la signa-ture ou à l'acceptation de tous les Etats Partiesà l'Arrangement international en vue d'assurerune protection efficace contre le trafic criminelconnu sous le nom de traite des blanches du 18mai 1904 ou à la Convention internationale rela-tive à la répression de la traite des blanches du4 mai 1910, auxquels le Secrétaire général auracommuniqué, à cet effet, un exemplaire du pré-sent Protocole.

ARTICLE 4

Les Etats pourront devenir Parties au présentProtocole :а) En le signant sans réserve quant à l'accepta-

tion;б) En le signant sous réserve d'acceptation et

en l'acceptant ultérieurement;c) En l'acceptant.

L'acceptation s'effectuera par le dépôt d'uninstrument formel auprès du Secrétaire généralde l'Organisation des Nations Unies.

ARTICLE 5

Le présent Protocole entrera en vigueur à ladate à laquelle deux ou plusieurs Etats serontdevenus Parties audit Protocole.

Les amendements contenus dans l'Annexe auprésent Protocole entreront en vigueur, en cequi concerne l'Arrangement international en vued'assurer une protection efficace contre le traficcriminel connu sous le nom de traite des blanchesdu 18 mai 1904, lorsque vingt Etats Partiesaudit Arrangement seront devenus Parties auprésent Protocole; et, en ce qui concerne laConvention internationale relative à la répres-sion de la traite des blanches du 4 mai 1910,lorsque vingt des Etats qui y sont Parties serontdevenus Parties au présent Protocole; et, enconséquence, tout Etat qui deviendra Partie, soità l'Arrangement, soit à la Convention après queles amendements s'y rapportant seront entrés envigueur, deviendra Partie à l'Arrangement ou àla Convention ainsi amendés.

ARTICLE 6

Dès l'entrée en vigueur des amendements con-tenus dans l'Annexe au présent Protocole etrelatifs, soit à l'Arrangement, soit à la Conven-tion, le Gouvernement français déposera auprèsdu Secrétaire général de l'Organisation desNations Unies l'original de celui des deux accordsauquel ont trait lesdits amendements, ainsi queles différents documents dont il avait la gardeen vertu des fonctions qu'il exerçait.

ARTICLE 7

Conformément aux dispositions du paragraphepremier de l'Article 102 de la Charte des Nations

Unies et au règlement adopté par l'Assembléegénérale pour l'application de ce texte, le Secré-taire général de l'Organisation des Nations Uniesest autorisé à enregistrer le présent Protocoleainsi que les amendements apportés à l'Arrange-ment et à la Convention par le présent Protocole,aux dates respectives de leur entrée en vigueur,et à publier, aussitôt que possible après leurenregistrement, le Protocole et le texte amendéde l'Arrangement et de la Convention.

ARTICLE 8

Le présent Protocole, dont les textes anglais,chinois, espagnol, français et russe font égale-ment foi, sera déposé aux archives du Secrétariatde l'Organisation des Nations Unies. L'Arrange-ment et la Convention qui seront amendés con-formément à l'Annexe ayant été rédigés seule-ment en français, le texte français de l'Annexefera foi et les textes anglais, chinois, espagnol etrusse seront considérés comme des traductions.Une copie certifiée conforme du Protocole, ycompris l'Annexe, sera envoyée par le Secrétairegénéral à chacun des Etats Parties à l'Arrange-ment international en vue d'assurer une protec-tion efficace contre le trafic criminel connu sousle nom de traite des blanches du 18 mai 1904,ou à la Convention internationale pour la répres-sion de la traite des blanches du 4 mai 1910,ainsi qu'à tous les Etats Membres de l'Organi-sation des Nations Unies.

EN FOI DE QUOI les soussignés, dûment au-torisés par leurs Gouvernements respectifs, ontsigné le présent Protocole à la date figurant enregard de leurs signatures respectives.

КОНВЕНЦИИ О БОРЬБЕ С ТОРГОВЛЕЙ БЕЛЫМИ РАБЫНЯМИ, ПОДПИСАННОЙ

В ПАРИЖЕ 4 МАЯ 1910 ГОДА

Государства, являющиеся сторонами в насто-ящем Протоколе, — принимая во внимание, чтона основании Международного договора, под-писанного в Париже 18 мая 1904 г., о дей-ствительном предупреждении преступной тор-говли, известной как торговля белыми рабы-нями, и Международной конвенции о борьбес торговлей белыми рабынями, подписаннойв Париже 4 мая 1910 г., на правительство Фран-цузской Республики были возложены некото-рые функции; и принимая во внимание, чтоуказанное правительство добровольно предло-жило передать Организации Объединенных На-ций функции, выполняемые им на основаниивышеуказанных соглашений; и считая целе-сообразным, чтобы впредь эти функции выпол-нялись Организацией Объединенных Наций,—настоящим пришли к следующему соглашению:

СТАТЬЯ 1

Государства, являющиеся сторонами в на-стоящем Протоколе, обязуются в своих вза-имоотношениях, каждое из них в той мере, вкакой его касаются акты, стороной в которыхоно является, и в соответствии с положенияминастоящего Протокола признать полную юри-дическую силу внесенных в эти акты и содер-жащихся в Приложении к настоящему Прото-колу изменений, ввести таковые изменения вдействие и обеспечить их применение.

СТАТЬЯ 2

Генеральный Секретарь Организации Объ-единенных Наций заготовит измененные в со-ответствии с настоящим Протоколом текстыМеждународного договора от 18 мая 1904 г.о действительном предупреждении преступнойторговли, известной как торговля белыми ра-бынями, и Международной конвенции от 4 мая1910 г. о борьбе с торговлей белыми рабыня-ми и разошлет их в копиях для осведомленияправительствам всех государств, состоящих

членами Организации Объединенных Наций, игосударств, не-состоящих членами Организа-ции, для подписания или принятия которыминастоящий Протокол открыт. Он предложиттакже государствам, являющимся сторонами вкаком-либо из вышеуказанных актов, приме-нять измененные положения этого или этих ак-тов немедленно по вступлении в силу таких из-менений, даже в тех случаях когда эти госу-дарства не имели еще возможности стать сто-ронами в настоящем Протоколе.

СТАТЬЯ 3

Настоящий Протокол открыт для подписанияили принятия его каждым из государств, кото-рые являются сторонами в Международном до-говоре от 18 мая 1904 г. о действительном пре-дупреждении преступной торговли, известнойкак торговля белыми рабынями, и Междуна-родной конвенции от 4 мая 1910 г. о борьбес торговлей белыми рабынями, и которым Ге-неральный Секретарь сообщит с этой цельюкопию настоящего Протокола.

СТАТЬЯ 4

Государства могут стать сторонами в насто-ящем Протоколе:

a) подписав его без оговорок относительноего принятия;

b) подписав его с оговорками относительноего принятия и приняв его впоследствии;

c) приняв его.

Принятие осуществляется путем депониро-вания официального акта у Генерального Сек-ретаря Организации Объединенных Наций.

СТАТЬЯ 5

Настоящий Протокол вступит в силу в день,когда не менее двух государств станут в немсторонами.

Изменения, содержащиеся в Приложении кнастоящему Протоколу, вступят в силу в отно-шении Международного договора от 18 мая1904 г. о действительном предупреждении пре-ступной торговли, известной как торговля бе-лыми рабынями, после того как двадцать участ-вующих в нем государств станут сторонами внастоящем Протоколе, а в отношении Между-народной конвенции от 4 мая 1910 г. о борьбес торговлей белыми рабынями — после тогокак двадцать государств, являющихся сторо-нами в нем, станут сторонами в настоящем Про-токоле; следовательно, каждое государство,ставшее стороной либо в Договоре либо в Кон-венции после того, как вступят в силу внесен-ные в них изменения, станет стороной в изме-ненных таким образом Договоре или Конвенции.

СТАТЬЯ 6

По вступлени в силу содержащихся в При-ложении к настоящему Протоколу изменений,относящихся либо к Договору либо к Конвен-ции, французское правительство депонирует уГенерального Секретаря Организации Объеди-ненных Наций подлинник того из двух согла-шений, к которому вышеуказанные измененияотносятся, а также различные документы, ко-торые хранились этим правительством в связис выполнявшимися им функциями.

СТАТЬЯ 7

В соответствии с положениями пункта 1статьи 102 Устава Организации ОбъединенныхНаций и с правилами относительно примененияэтой статьи, принятыми Генеральной Ассамб-леей, Генеральный Секретарь ОрганизацииОбъединенных Наций уполномочивается заре-гистрировать настоящий Протокол, равно как

и изменения, внесенные настоящим Протоколомв Договор и Конвенцию, в соответствующие днивступления этих изменений в силу, и опублико-вать Протокол и измененные тексты Договораи Конвенции в возможно краткий срок после ихрегистрации.

СТАТЬЯ 8

Настоящий Протокол, английский, испан-ский, китайский, русский и французский текстыкоторого являются равно аутентичными, депо-нируется в архив Секретариата ОрганизацииОбъединенных Наций. Ввиду того, что Договори Конвенция, которые будут изменены в соот-ветствии с Приложением, составлены толькона французском языке, французский текст При-ложения является аутентичным, тогда как ан-глийский, испанский, китайский и русский тек-сты его считаются переводными. Протокол,включающий Приложение, посылается Гене-ральным Секретарем в заверенной копии каж-дому из государств, являющихся сторонами вМеждународном договоре от 18 мая 1904 г. одействительном предупреждении преступнойторговли, известной как торговля белыми рабы-нями, или Международного соглашения от 4мая 1910 г. о борьбе с торговлей белыми рабы-нями, а также всем государствам, состоящимчленами Организации Объединенных Наций.

В УДОСТОВЕРЕНИЕ ЧЕГО, нижеподписав-шиеся, будучи должным образом на то уполно-мочены своими правительствами, подписалинастоящий Протокол в дни, указанные противих подписей.

PROTOCOLO QUE MODIFICA EL ACUERDO INTERNACIONAL PARA ASEGURAR

DE BLANCAS, FIRMADO EN PARÍS EL 18 DE MAYO DE 1940, Y EL CONVENIO ÍNTER-

NACIONAL PARA LA REPRESIÓN DE LA TRATA DE BLANCAS, FIRMADO EN PARÍS

EL 4 DE MAYO DE 1910

Los Estados Partes en el presente Protocolo,considerando que en virtud del Acuerdo inter-nacional para asegurar una protección eficazcontra el tráfico criminal denominado trata deblancas, firmado en París el 18 de mayo de1904, y del Convenio internacional para la repre-sión de la trata de blancas, firmado en París el4 de mayo de 1910, el Gobierno de la RepúblicaFrancesa estaba investido de ciertas funciones;considerando que dicho Gobierno ha ofrecidoespontáneamente traspasar a las Naciones Uni-das las funciones que ejerce en virtud de dichosinstrumentos ; y considerando que es convenienteque en adelante sean éstas asumidas por lasNaciones Unidas, han convenido en las siguientesdisposiciones:

ARTÍCULO 1

Los Estados Partes en el presente Protocolose comprometen entre sí, cada uno en lo con-cerniente a los instrumentos en los cuales esParte, y con arreglo a las disposiciones del pre-sente Protocolo, a atribuir plena efectividadjurídica a las enmiendas a esos instrumentosconsignadas en el Anexo al presente Protocolo,a ponerlas en vigor y a asegurar su aplicación.

ARTÍCULO 2

El Secretario General preparará los textos delAcuerdo internacional para asegurar una pro-tección eficaz contra el tráfico criminal denomi-nado trata de blancas, del 18 de mayo de 1904,y del Convenio internacional para la represiónde la trata de blancas, del 4 de mayo de 1910,revisados con arreglo al presente Protocolo, y

enviará copias de los mismos, para su informa-ción, a los Gobiernos de cada uno de los EstadosMiembros de las Naciones Unidas, así como alos Gobiernos de cada uno de los Estados nomiembros a los que esté abierta la firma o laaceptación del presente Protocolo. Invitará igual-mente a los Estados Partes en cualquiera de loscitados instrumentos, a aplicar el texto modifi-cado de tal o de tales instrumentos, tan prontocomo entren en vigor las enmiendas, incluso siesos Estados no han podido aún llegar a serpartes en el presente Protocolo.

ARTÍCULO 3

El presente Protocolo estará abierto a la firmao a ía aceptación de todos los Estados Partes enél Acuerdo internacional para asegurar una pro-tección eficaz contra el tráfico criminal denomi-nado trata de blancas, del 18 de mayo de 1904,o en el Convenio internacional para la represiónde la trata de blancas, del 4 de mayo de 1910, alos que el Secretario General haya enviado, alefecto, copia del presente Protocolo.

ARTÍCULO 4

Los Estados podrán llegar a ser partes en elpresente Protocolo:

а) Por la firma sin reserva de aceptación ;б) Por la firma con reserva de aceptación, y

la aceptación ulterior;c) Por la aceptación.La aceptación se efectuará mediante el depó-

sito de un instrumento en forma entregado alSecretario General de las Naciones Unidas.

ARTÍCULO 5

El presente Protocolo entrará en vigor en lafecha en que dos o más Estados hayan llegado aser Partes en dicho Protocolo.

Las enmiendas consignadas en el Anexo alpresente Protocolo entrarán en vigor, respectoal Acuerdo internacional para asegurar una pro-tección eficaz contra el tráfico criminal denomi-nado trata de blancas, del 18 de mayo de 1904,cuando veinte Estados Partes en dicho Acuerdohayan llegado a ser Partes en el presente Proto-colo; y respecto al Convenio internacional parala represión de la trata de blancas, del 4 de mayode 1910, cuando veinte de los Estados Partesen dicho Convenio hayan llegado a ser Partesen el presente Protocolo; y, en consecuencia,todo Estado que llegue a ser Parte en el Acuerdoo en el Convenio después de haber entrado envigor tales enmiendas, será Parte en el Acuerdoo en el Convenio así modificado.

ARTÍCULO 6

Cuando hayan entrado en vigor las enmiendasconsignadas en el Anexo al presente Protocolo,relativas al Acuerdo o al Convenio, el Gobiernofrancés depositará el original de aquél de los dosinstrumentos a que se refieran dichas enmiendas,así como los diversos documentos que dicho Go-bierno custodiaba en virtud de las funciones queejercía, entregándolos al Secretario General delas Naciones Unidas.

ARTÍCULO 7

Conforme a las disposiciones del párrafo 1 delArtículo 102 de la Carta de las Naciones Unidasy del reglamento aprobado por la Asamblea

General para la aplicación del mismo, el Secre-tario General de las Naciones Unidas está autori-zado a registrar el presente Protocolo, así comolas enmiendas introducidas por este Protocoloen cada uno de los instrumentos, en las fechasrespectivas de su entrada en vigor y a publicar,tan pronto como sea posible después de su re-gistro, el Protocolo y el texto modificado delAcuerdo y de la Convención.

ARTÍCULO 8

El presente Protocolo, cuyos textos chino,español, francés, inglés y ruso son igualmenteauténticos, será depositado en los archivos de laSecretaría de las Naciones Unidas. Como elAcuerdo y el Convenio que han de ser modifica-dos con arreglo al Anexo, fueron redactadossolamente en francés, el texto francés del Anexoserá el auténtico, considerándose como traduc-ciones los textos chino, español, inglés y ruso.El Secretario General enviará copia certificadadel Protocolo, con inclusión del Anexo, a cadauno de los Estados Partes en el Acuerdo interna-cional para asegurar una protección eficaz contrael tráfico criminal denominado trata de blancas,del 18 de mayo de 1904, o en el Convenio inter-nacional para la represión de la trata de blancas,del 4 de mayo de 1910, así como a todos losEstados Miembros de las Naciones Unidas.

EN TESTIMONIO DE LO CUAL los infrascritos,debidamente autorizados para ello por sus respec-tivos Gobiernos, han firmado el presente Proto-colo en la fecha que aparece al lado de sus res-pectivas firmas.

1. ARRANGEMENT INTERNATIONAL EN VUE D'ASSURER

UNE PROTECTION EFFICACE CONTRE LE TRAFICCRIMINEL CONNU SOUS LE NOM DE "TRAITE DES

BLANCHES", SIGNÉ À PARIS LE 18 MAI 1904

IS article 7 sera rédigé comme suit:

"Les Etats non signataires sont admis à adhérer au

présent Arrangement. A cet effet, ils notifieront leurintention au Secrétaire général de l'Organisation des

Nations Unies, qui en donnera connaissance à tousles Etats contractants ainsi qu'à tous les Etats Mem-

bres de l'Organisation des Nations Unies."

2. CONVENTION INTERNATIONALE RELATIVE À LA RÉ-

PRESSION DE LA TRAITE DES BLANCHES, SIGNÉE À

PARIS LE 4 MAI 1910

L'article 4 sera rédigé comme suit:

"Les Parties contractantes se communiqueront, parl'entremise du Secrétaire général de l'Organisationdes Nations Unies, les lois qui auraient déjà étérendues, ou qui viendraient à l'être, dans leurs Etatsrelativement à l'objet de la présente Convention."

A Varticle 8, le premier paragraphe sera rédigé

comme suit:

"Les Etats non signataires sont admis à adhérer àla présente Convention. A cet effet, ils notifieront leur

intention par un acte qui sera déposé dans les archives

de l'Organisation des Nations Unies. Le Secrétaire

général de l'Organisation des Nations Unies en en-verra copie certifiée conforme à chacun des Etatscontractants et à tous les Etats Membres de l'Organi-

sation des Nations Unies et les avisera en même tempsde la date du dépôt. Il sera donné aussi, dans ledit

acte de notification, communication des lois rendues

dans l'Etat adhérent, relativement à l'objet de la

présente Convention."

A Varticle 10, le deuxième paragraphe sera rédigé

comme suit:

"La dénonciation sera notifiée par un acte qui sera

déposé dans les archives de l'Organisation des Na-

tions Unies. Le Secrétaire général de l'Organisationdes Nations Unies en enverra copie certifiée conformeà chacun des Etats contractants et à tous les EtatsMembres de l'Organisation des Nations Unies et les

avisera en même temps de la date du dépôt."

A Y article 11,

Le premier paragraphe sera rédigé comme suit:

"Si un Etat contractant désire la mise en vigueur

de la présente Convention dans une ou plusieurs deses colonies, possessions ou circonscriptions consu-

laires judiciaires, il notifiera son intention à cet effetpar un acte qui sera déposé dans les archives del'Organisation des Nations Unies. Le Secrétaire gé-néral de l'Organisation des Nations Unies en enverracopie certifiée conforme à chacun des Etats contrac-

tants et à tous les Etats Membres de l'Organisationdes Nations Unies et les avisera en même temps de

la date du dépôt."

Le cinquième paragraphe sera rédigé comme suit:

"La dénonciation de la Convention par un des

Etats contractants pour une ou plusieurs de ses

colonies, possessions ou circonscriptions consulairesjudiciaires, s'effectuera dans les formes et conditionsdéterminées au premier alinéa du présent article. Elle

portera effet douze mois après la date du dépôt del'acte de dénonciation dans les archives de l'Organisa-

tion des Nations Unies."
