Daytime (upper panel) and nighttime (lower panel) τ maps of the 3 GHz channel, for −60° latitude 60° and −180° longitude 180°. Bright/dark show high/low values; in the daytime the maximum and minimum values of are 9 K and −10 K, respectively, while in the nighttime panel they are 7 K and −10 K. Chan et al.
