Icebreaker: What is one piece of good news you have come across this week?

Discussion Questions:

1. Generally speaking, why do you think the cross of Christ is spoken more about than the tomb of Christ?

2. How do you view the various challenges you face in life? What is your general attitude when life doesn’t go the way you want it to?

3. Everyone has challenges they want to overcome. Take a few moments and think about some challenges you are currently facing. In what ways does the gospel give you hope and strength to overcome life’s challenges?

4. Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-8. What are the key points of the gospel?

5. What has the gospel done for you? In return, what are you supposed to do for the gospel? Why?

6. What impact does the resurrection of Christ have on how you face life? Does it give you hope?

Prayer:

Loving Father, sometimes I am so familiar with the truth of scripture that I do not adequately take in its enormous significance. Help the truth of Your death and resurrection permeate deep into my heart - for You are good and gracious and Your mercy towards me is everlasting, and I love You Lord, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
