Mention to students that the main activity will involve dancing today! Students are going to be moving and grooving! Ask students to name a few body parts and movements (locomotor and non-locomotor).
1) As students enter the gymnasium, they know to sit down on the center circle and await instruction.2) Teacher takes attendance and then explains the focus of todays lesson.
3) Explain clear behavior instructions before transition. Ex: Please tip toe quietly over and find a spot in the gym.4) Ask students to name some body parts and explain that they will be moving some of those parts today.

Warm-Up Cha Cha SlideThe Cha-Cha Slide is a well-known all-around fun and easy dance students will enjoy. In this dance, students will learn various movements including the hop, stomp, clap, crisscross of legs, the Charlie Brown(rocking backward and forward), and sliding. Also they will practice knowing directions left, right, front, and back. Students will need to know how to follow general instructions in order to be successful in this lesson. Throughout the lesson students will need to be aware of where their bodies are so they do not cause harm to others.
1) Have students scatter around the playing area and find a spot.
2) Explain again to the students that they have super glue on their shoes and to listen to instructions.
3) After explaining the instructions, explain to the students that they will be performing non-locomotor movements.3) Explain to the students that they are very fortunate because there are two DJs in the house (DJ Mr.Mitch & Mr.David).4) The Cha-Cha Slide song will play and the students will have to follow the teachers do the dance in front of the class.
5) Once the song is done, have the students pat themselves on the back and then clap for one another.

Main Activity Simon Says
The teacher is "Simon" and the students scatter around and find a place in the gymnasium. Simon then calls out an action for the children to follow. It can be anything like touch your toes jump 10 times on 1 foot. When giving the action, Simon can simply state the action by it self..."touch your ears" and whoever does it is out but can immediately get back into the game after performing five jumping jacks.
1) Keep students scattered around the gym in their spot.
2) Explain again to the students that they have super glue on their shoes and will be doing non-locomotor fundamental movements
3) Start the game by simply saying Simon Says, followed by commands such as the following:
Shake your head
Touch your shoulder
Wiggle your nose
Swing your arms
Shake your hands
Wiggle your fingers

4) After the game ends, do Simon says again but this time incorporating three simple locomotors movements (walking, hoping, running, long jumping).
