The Mermaids Dance Band
Auckland based 4 piece line-up features three female vocalists Joe Cotton, Amber Claire and Pauline Berry and keyboardist Stuart Pearce performs around NZ at private and company functions as well as clubs. The song-list reads like the great dance hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70, 80s and up to the present day, and includes rock n roll, country, cha cha, mambo, disco, R & B, regaton, techno and other classic dance tunes.
The Mermaids have an array of glamorous costumes and present a high energy show which results in a full dance floor every time. They also perform a beautiful easy listening dinner set, or music to suit themes, if required. They present dance music for every taste and age group, utilizing outstanding three part harmony and the multi-faceted keyboard skills of Stuart Pearce.
In 2016 the band started performing an additional stand alone repertoire comprised of 27 of ABBA's greatest hits, playing "The Music of ABBA" since then to mostly sold out clubs around NZ.
