DE-LINKING OF PROVISIONING AND PROCUREMENT OF- I ,

ALL RATION ITEMS FROM APO/ASC ARMY+-'-

"'. Sir,

1.. I am directed to convey the sanction of the President for de-linking ofprovisioning and procurement of all ration items from the existing APO/ASC(Army) for the Navyat selected places viz'Mumbai, Vizag and Kochi to meet theNavy's requirements on experimentalbasis. The provisioning and procurementofall ration items is to be decentralised and will be carried out by the respectiveCommand HQs w.eJ. 01 Apr 09.

2. Procurement of ration items will be undertaKen based on specifications suchas Gol approved AGMARK, ISI, FPO, MFPO, 8SI. ASC Specs or any other Golapproved specifications.

~s3. All purchases wiUbe carTied out as per the provisions of DPM and GFR andany other instruction issued by the Govt from time to time.

~ ,4 Ration samples will be inspected at GovtlPvt Labs for adherence tospecifications orselt certified in case of COTS/Branded goods.'11:

6. IHQ MoD(N)1DCVto forward the report on the efficacy of revised system ofprocurement to Got, MoD(N) by 01 Jul 2010.

7. ThIs issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Defence(Fin) vide /DNO.139-ND dated 16 Feb 09.
