PeopleAt CareFusion, we make a difference by improving the safety and cost of healthcare for generations to

come. Without dedicated and diverse employees fostered by an inclusive workforce, we could not achieve

our mission.

Through various initiatives including our diversity and inclusion strategy, Diversity Council, employee

resources groups (ERGs) and community partnerships, we offer resources that employees need to do

their jobs effectively. Our initiatives also help them achieve a positive work/life balance while supporting

their communities.

We pride ourselves on our culture—one that defines who we are and how we work together. We believe

our business thrives on the diverse perspectives of a global workforce. We respect the individuality of every

employee and consider teamwork essential to our success.

Our comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy, Diversity Council and ERGs help us foster an inclusive

workspace where teams work together and employees achieve their full potential.

CommunityCareFusion has always valued giving back to the communities in which we work and live. From our Day of

Caring to supporting grants from the CareFusion Foundation for employee volunteerism, we’ve continued

to show the importance of giving back. ERGs provide a means to consolidate efforts, act strategically and

deliver the most value to the external community organizations with which we partner.

CustomersOur customers know us around the globe for our high quality products and services. Our ERGs are working

to ensure that they also know us for how we reflect their ideals and to showcase CareFusion as a

world-class place to work.

CareFusion Diversity & Inclusion Team

“Diversity exists any time you have more

than one person in a room. Our goal should

be to have employees with as many different

backgrounds and experiences in that room

as possible. That’s critical for innovation.

The question we get to ask is, ‘How can

those different perspectives help us to

recognize and solve problems?’ With that

kind of environment, it’s hard not to stay

engaged and excited about being part of

this team.”

Markus Achord, Manager of Diversity & Inclusion;

U.S. Navy veteran, Louisianan

“I am honored and proud to be a part of

CareFusion as a new member of the Diversity &

Inclusion team. This new position demonstrates

the company’s continued commitment to increase

our diversity efforts and we are excited to build

on our existing momentum.”

Gemma Markham, Coordinator, Diversity, Inclusion

and University Relations; USMC Wounded Warrior

spouse, Millennial

Veteran Integration Program (VIP)CareFusion created an eight-week program to support

veterans, including wounded warriors and their spouses,

who are transitioning into the corporate world from active

military service. The year 2014 marked the third year for the

These individuals participated in weekly development

workshops to assist in their successful transition.

and mock interviews.

“The CareFusion VIP provided an opportunity to get my foot in

the door at a highly respected medical technology company and

exposed me to a breadth of potential career paths. I was able to

find a very rewarding occupation that aligns well with the skills

and abilities I brought from my career in the Marine Corps and

my personal desire to continue helping others.”

Rob Regedanz, associate product manager, Solutions Management

and Business Development; Captain, USMC

“The VIP Program showed me how to transform my military

experience into essential job skills, presented me with an

opportunity to work in a corporate environment and was

crucial in my successful transition to civilian life.”

Whitney Steiger, Project Manager, Business Analysis, IT

Business/Process Management; Lieutenant, US Navy

Highlights from VIP participants

families of the fallen in all stages of their personal journeys and

offers them unique opportunities to empower them to achieve

their goals. The foundation is named for 1st Lt. Travis Manion,

to honor the fallen is by challenging the living. It does this by

encouraging veterans and survivors to follow Manion’s words,

“If Not Me, Then Who?” and to inspire others to continue the

fallen heroes. CareFusion employees participated in the Travis
