There are six weekly teaching sessions and a non -residential retreat on a Friday night and Saturday day where participants receive one on one prayer from a trained team of individuals. Topics covered include Overcoming Rejection, Passage to Purity, Release from Guilt, Shame and Condemnation, Unforgiveness, Freedom from Freemasonry and others. The course costs £60 (or £100 per couple) and starts on Tuesday 30 January. For more information and to register visit thisiscfc.com/cleansing-stream. Please note the closing date for registration is Sunday 28 January and numbers are limited! PRE-MARRIAGE COURSE A two day course for couples who are engaged or thinking of getting engaged. At this interactive weekend we look at topics such as marriage expectations, resolving conflict, in-laws, sex and finances. We demonstrate tools that help couples communicate well and iron out difficulties. This is done in a fun way giving space for couples to discuss things together as well as part of the wider group. During the weekend there will be group work and couples only time. After the weekend each couple has the opportunity of meeting up with two of the facilitators for an informal chat on the topics raised and any other concerns held. The weekend is open to church members and non-members alike. The next course is on Friday 24 November, beginning with a meal at 6.15pm, and Saturday 25 November 9am–4pm in CFC East Belfast. PRAYER CLINIC Thursday 7 December 8pm, Ark Room. Prayer Clinic provides an opportunity to receive prayer from a trained team, especially for any type of healing. It starts with a time of worship and then splits into small groups with two team members praying per person. It operates on a first come, first served basis. KIDSWORK TRAINING We want all our kids and their teachers to have a great time together and experience Jesus in a fun and real way each Sunday. In order to help us do that we will be having some training for all our children’s workers on Sunday 19 November. This will include some guidance for working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). We will be joined by Elaine Clark, one of our Worship Academy, who is a trained teacher specialising in SEN. The training will be straight after our Church service and lunch will be provided.

CHRISTMAS APPEAL Today we are lifting a special offering for our Christmas Appeal. Remember to use the special offering envelopes and gift aid when possible. Please give generously.

BAG PACK Tesco have kindly agreed to allow a bag pack on Saturday 25 November 2017 in aid of Oasis Caring in Action (Antrim). If you could volunteer for an hour or two please contact Alan Wilson or Pamela Shields.

CAROL SERVICE The Antrim Town Carol service is being held in All Saints’ Parish Church on Sunday 3 December at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to come together with other churches in the town to worship together and we would encourage all to attend if possible.

CAROL SINGING We are having an evening of carol singing around Antrim on Friday 22 December. We hope to visit some of the estates and possibly some nursing homes and spread a little Christmas cheer. All singing abilities are welcome (we need volume as well as quality!). We will meet at 7pm at Oasis and then return afterwards for some mince pies etc. Please speak to Michael Patterson if you are interested.

ASSISTANCE REQUIRED Parhall School are moving premises within Antrim over the Christmas period and have asked local churches for assistance. If you are interested in helping, please contact Linda Alexander directly for further information at [email protected]. It is the week beginning the 18 of December and should take about three days. This is for those who have some spare time during the day or 'fit retired people' who could commit for a morning, afternoon or even a day or all three!

INTERPRETERS CANCELLED Interpreters have been cancelled for the 10am service at CFC East on 19 November. There will still be interpreters at CFC Antrim at 11am.

PRAYER WARRIORS We are excited to announce that on the last Tuesday of the month SLC will meet in the Prayer House from 7-9am for prayer. This will be called “SLC Prayer Warriors” and its purpose is to pray for SLC and the wider Deaf community. Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you come for 20mins or 2hrs - just turn up as and when you can. These are the dates booked so far:

SLC WORKSHOPS Last month (October) SLC held a Worship Workshop which was a great success! This month’s gathering (November) gave us an update about SLC’s vision and future plans. If you missed out on anything, don’t worry - we plan to have many more! Each event will begin at 8pm on the first Tuesday of the month. CHRISTMAS SPECIAL SLC will have a Family Fun Christmas Service on Sunday 10 December at 11am, so get inviting and bring all your friends for some Christmas merriment and cheer! It will be held at YMCA, Stranmillis.

SLC CHRISTMAS PARTY On Tuesday 19 December SLC will be having a Christmas party in the Ark Room at 7pm and it's open to everyone so get inviting! It costs just £6 for a buffet meal and dessert, and will be full of Christmas fun! Book your tickets at cfc.churchsuite.co.uk/events/nijcoent

SFE CHRISTMAS PARTY On Sunday 17 December at 6:30pm Santa will be visiting the SFE Christmas Party! There will be presents for all the kiddies as well as plenty of party games and yummy Christmas treats. This party is FREE so invite all your friends, but please let us know if you are bringing children so that we can make sure Santa has enough presents.

SFE NEW YEAR’S PARTY SFE will have a party on New Year’s Eve (Sunday 31 December) in CFC, starting at 9:30pm and going through until 1am. As always, there will be plenty of games and quizzes, along with hot food and the annual New Year celebrations at midnight. Join us as we celebrate the new year together!
