Our learning environment.

•Wonderful facility.

•Students have settled in well.

• Excellent learning has already begun.

Rules and expectations. Everyone has the right to learn and be safe whilst at Cranbourne

East Primary School.

We expect our senior students to set the tone for the school.

Students and teachers have discussed the rules and the students have a clear understanding of consequences for unacceptable behaviour.

Discipline will be fair and consistent.

You will be contacted if there is a major problem that is interfering with your childs’ learning or that of others.

We are positive people who enjoy working with your children and will always recognise and praise excellent behaviour.

Many students have an allergy to nuts, therefore CEPS has adopted a ‘Nut Free Policy’.

What does this mean? This means that your child will be unable to bring

any food products that have nuts in them including peanut butter & nutella sandwiches, chocolate bars (snickers, picnics etc)

General Business

o Hats Your child must wear the approved C.E.P.S.

Uniform including bucket hat that can be purchased

General Business

o SuppliesPlease ensure that all of your child’s stationery

supplies are at school.

Spare stationery is being stored by their

classroom teacher so it can be allocated to your

child as they need it.

General Business

Inquiry Learning• Our aim is to produce independent life long learners.

• Inquiry Learning allows students to explore the world around them-

past , present and future. It is about teaching the students how to

learn.

• It makes learning ‘real’ for the students and is guided by what they

want to discover.

• They will learn to ask questions. To find ,sort and present

information.

• Some jargon you may hear your child talking about: the WOW

factor and Authentic Action.

Homework will begin next week.

It reflects what is being taught in the classroom.

It will be sent home every Monday.

It will be due on Friday.

Students are expected to read every night for at least 20 minutes.

• Departing Monday 21st November and returning Friday 25th November.

• Students and staff will be camping in tents on the foreshore.

• Approximate cost of the camp - $170.

• We will be travelling to Queenscliff via the ferry on one of our camp days.

• More information will be provided leading up to the camp.

•A payment plan will be provided.

• Interschool sport will be held on Thursday from 11.30am - 1.15pm.

• Sports will vary depending on what time of year it is.

• We will play against the following Primary schools in the area: Casey Grammar, Cranbourne South, Devon Meadows, Cranbourne Carlisle and Clyde.

• More details will be sent home once everything is finalised.
