ABOUT THE FACOE
R.M.D. Engineering College established Centre of Excellence in Factory Automation in
collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric India Private limited; Haryana during 2015.The main aim of this Centre of Excellence is to conduct training and placement initiative in the area of Automation
and Control Engineering.
VISION:
To prepare our students for a rapidly changing world by equipping them with the ability to
analyze and solve engineering tribulations.
To build up awareness among budding engineers and equip them with knowledge and skill
in the field of Factory Automation.
To enhance placement activities and to place the students in core companies.

A.PAVAN KUMAR, S.VISWAVENDHAN, M.KARTHICK has won the 1st Prize
along with ARVR kit in MAKE-A-THON A 12 hours competition on ARVR
(Augmented Reality Virtual Reality) conducted by VIT,Vellore.
APOGEE, BITS, PILANI – 2019
• Kayelvili.A, Prashaanti Jayaraman, Saranya.P, Vaishali.D, Muthappan,
Yokesh of Pre- final year won Second Prize with Cash Award of
Rs.30,000/- for demonstrating the Project “Digital twin of Pump” in the
Apogee 2019 held at BITS, Pilani.
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CUP 4 - 2019
• Kayelvili.A, Prashaanti Jayaraman, Saranya.P, Vaishali.D of Pre- final
year were shortlisted in the top 35 across the country for demonstrating the
Project “Digital twin of Pump” in the Mitsubishi Electric Cup 4 held on 15-
16 February 2019,Delhi. They were awarded Certificate of Appreciation:
Commandable Performance Award.
National Level Quadcopter Championship
• Vinusha.R and Soundariya.S of Batch 2015-2019 won II Prize in Robofeast
2018 (National Level Quadcopter Championship) held at IIT, Roorkee.

SYSTEM USING PLC AND SCADA” in the “SRISHTI 2017 association with "NATIONAL
INSTRUMENTS (NI)" held on 13th and 14th February 2017,Kerala.
