Main tasks: 1. Bee-breeding:
- The control of honey bee colonies of bee-breeders in the country
according to their productivity and breed characters.
- Measurements of morphological characters of honey bee-
workers from the choosen bee colonies
2. Bee-pasture:
- Studies of the nectar and pollen production and determine the
apicultural value of various sunflower hybrids
- Participation in the studies of the changes of the flowering time
of different plants.
3. Participation in the actual work with honey bees

1. Management and administration of the Institute of Apiculture
2. Coordinating the native of Apis mellifera carnica pannonica bee related activitiesof gene conservation, breeding, production, product certification, research and development, innovation and education tasks.
3. Genetic conservation co-ordination tasks, organization of species protection.
5. Research, development and innovation activities related to the Apis melliferacarnica pannonica bee species protection, gene conservation and bee biology, bee pasture and beekeeping.
6. Educational and informational activities related to the bee species protection, gene conservation, breeding, gene bank activities and operation of demonstration apiary and bee museum, professional supervision of the beekeeping park.
7. Development of relationship in international research of beekeeping, bee breeding and gene preservation.
