Victoria Park, Finchley, is a typical Victorian town park and is very local to The Avenue. Its attractions include carefully tended flowerbeds, tennis courts, play areas for all ages and a multi sports court.

Golders Hill Park, with its children’s zoo, is a lovely spot for a family afternoon out, and golfers really are spoilt for choice with Hampstead, Highgate, Hendon and Finchley golf courses all within a few miles of The Avenue.

In contrast, one the largest outdoor resources is Hampstead Heath, an oasis of nearly 800 acres of woodlands, footpaths, secret ponds and grassy slopes. It’s one of London’s highest points and from parts of it, there are panoramic views towards the City and Canary Wharf. The jewel of the Heath is Kenwood House, now a notable art gallery.
