edTPA Video Requirements
• The length and number of clips need for edTPA vary depending on grade level and area of concentration – Students are responsible for knowing how many
clips they need and what the length requirements are
• Clips may be no larger than 300MB
• Accepted file types include: .flv, .asf, .qt, .mov, .mpg, .mpeg, .avi, .wmv, .mp4, and .m4v
Recommended Programs for Video Clipping
• AnyVideoConverter, a free software program, can be downloaded and used to convert files, clip files and compress files; this program can be used on Macs and PCs
• For Apple users, iMovie is available in the App Store for under $5.00, if it is not already installed on the users’ devices
• For Windows users, Windows Live Movie Maker is recommended for clipping. If it is not already installed on the users’ devices, it can be downloaded for free from Microsoft’s website.

– Often, video clips do not need to be compressed once they have been clipped because they are less than 300MB

– Files should be no larger than 300MB or 3000KB
